Eric Roussin
It’s been a few months since I’ve updated my list of the current overall Top 10 North American active grip sport/armlifting athletes. Here it is; the most notable changes are that Tanner Merkle and Adam Glass have been removed due to inactivity. I’m sure their names would reappear again if and when they decide to compete. 1 - Carl Myerscough (CA) 2 - Jedd Johnson (PA) 3 - Nick Sanders (KY) 4 - Brad Provick (SK) 5 - David Labbe (VA) 6 - Odd Haugen (CA) 7 - Jason Dingey (OH) 8 - Joel Dircks (MN) 9 - Eric Roussin (ON) 10 - Eric Dawson (MA) To be considered for this list, a competitor must have competed at least once in the past 12 months.

What I did not know until recently is that he is SEVENTY-TWO. Whoa. There's some motivation to stay in shape.

A lot of old timers are still strong as an ox but lose that fire. A real inspiration. Both my grandpas died at 72 and where pretty spent.. And then you get Odd who FINISHES his workouts with rolling thunder hangs. I aspire to keep training like that at that age.... But the "odds" aren't in my favor.
