I'm talking all forms of bending... Take Joe Price or Alexander Zass for example... Mild steel has been around since the late 1800s, but there was still a fair amount of wrought iron being used. Stainless was invented in the early 1900s. I'm assuming it was mostly wrought iron or mild steel being used back then.  It's been awhile since i've read up on the history of metal but I don't think tool steel was too common. I feel like whatever they used for stock isn't as hard as what people are doing today, but they probably did it with less hand protection.

As anyone ever scrolled with actual wrought iron or  done some form of bending with it?
