I will post my videos here so as not to flood the forum with new topics after each new video material is released 🤪

Even though I love to flood... Anyways, here is the first clip from today's training session, enjoy.

Thanks guys!

With 3.5 I made four attempts yesterday: first two ended up with 3-5 mm between the handles, the third one - by a hair and final, the successful close.

CNS activation makes a big difference.

CNS is key, I always did squats before grippers if possible!

I would definitely try that since it’s a physiological approach!

Because for most of the time I activate only my mental energy. With the music or imagination (situations like when you have to pull someone from the abyss with your hands).

Great advise.

King Kong 2021 performance vid.

What I’ve learned from my second KK appearance is that quality time with friends is guaranteed.

One of my milestones. So far it's the best CCS close.
Controlled, paused, performed on a wide gripper.

At this point I'm focusing on the next checkpoint which is 152 RGC CoC #3 in couple of weeks.

P.S.@Cannon thanks for a high quality replica. Looks and feels awesome.

Short summary after 3 months of CCS workouts:

Right: went from missing GHP 7 #145 to closing CoC 3 #152 (w/o knurling, the gripper I failed to certify on in August 2022).

Left: went from severe tendinitis to crushing GHP 6 #130 (125 lbs + 5-6 lbs from 4 Bumper full turns).

Best shape so far.

Big closes, great job. Hoping to be around your level in the next 12-16 months. The day I can CCS an average 3 will be awesome.

Thanks!

I might advise you to switch to CCS completely, you could also incorporate custom made wider credit cards like 58mm, 62mm etc.

Remind me, what is your current 1 rep max from CCS set?

Oh I have a thread on here chronicling my journey from July 2021 when I started. I couldn't close my 50 RGC CoC Trainer when I started, and over the past 1.5 years have increased all the way up to my 122 CoC 2.5, which I am millimeters away from CCSing. I actually train with a no set, or wider than CCS set most of the time. I just meant that getting to the CoC 3 will be a cool day, considering where I started from. Should be there in another year from now.

You have a great progress!

The gap from 2.5 to 3 is big enough but it’s doable. One year of smart training should be enough to get to ccs 145+ lbs CoC 3.

So keep grinding! :)

CCS trainings are in the past for some time, got back to MMSing things.

I have also reduced quantity of workouts with grippers per week from 2 to 1, it looks beneficial for now. I reach my peak strength every session because of the good rest.
