starting Get Strong by Al Kavadlo... The first half should be real easy but i want to start from scratch... its a 16 week calisthenic routine. So i will be taking break from kb's for a while.

Thank you... Gotta try and mix it up  a little. Numbers have been a little stagnant and need to break through plateau with the thick handles.

to be blunt, i popped a hemorrhoid over the weekend. Never did that before but it sucks.

no rowing will figure out something to do tonight even if its a walk.  Not sure if I should lift weights or not tomorrow.

Bought some Micro Gainz plates, going to start eating more and will start doing some DO bending and mix up the rep scheme...

I will break through this plateau shortly......

Get Strong Week 1

only thing i did different was diamond pushups instead of elevated

diamond 3x6

flex hang 3x5sec

active hang  3x10sec

lying knee tuck 3x8

assisted squat 3x10

hip bridge 3x10

 

pretty easy, and these next 6 weeks or so will be but thats ok, gives me more time to focus more on grip

 

 

RGT to lockout  micro loaded with grippers.. next week i'll have the plates

Well try bending tomorrow, hope  I don't blow another brake line in the process 😐.

Absolutely terrible performance this morning... 

WD2 orange spring 3 reps up to 2-2.... Then 3-3 x3 reps and then some singles 3-3 + 1 rubber band

Tried bending DO couldn't

tried double under hand, kinked the bar

tried reverse and wasn't feeling that either

I tried reverse bending 60d shiny nail and I feel like I could have bent it, but just couldn't get past the mental barrier

 

Called it a day, I'm not one to give up but I'm afraid if i strained to much i'd make it worse.... Just shoveling some dirt the other day did... Hate to talk about it but it directly affecting my performance.

Don't overthink it; it's just one of those days. Take a few days off. And DO is very technical, it will take some time to get used to it anyway. Cool that you tried DU as well. 👍

felt better about todays performance.. Had late start because needed to check on couple jobs and make sure no pipes froze.. I think it got negative 30 overnight.

chest krusher 4 springs top position 2x8 regular 2x8 upside down

horseshoe bender put spring in easy position and did archer pulls and behind the back.. Going to work those two movements for now on

 

isos with 60d shiny and put a nice kink in it.

Those Microgainz plates are a real game changer... 2.5lbs can be a big jump with some lifts and leaves me exhausted for next lift... Now I can go up in small increments. 

Did not set any records but felt strong today. As long as I didn't rip my #$@#T#Thole open again i'm going back to normal Tuesday

did 35 minutes of yoga last night too after helping my uncle move... Off to go help him move some more.

 

Brought my inch into my parents basement and hanging it off the carrying beam for a deload system. This, the microgainz plates and the fact im increasing my caloric intake, i'm curious to see what these next 6 months bring. 

HOPEFULLY this spring we are doing the garage cleanout under my apartment and I can move my gym there.

It was so nice to being able to add .5lbs to my loadable inch handle.
