Its doing better, banged it again taking some plywood out of the truck yesterday... You don't realize how much you physically use your head at work until you can't. it swelled up a lot after. I got the stitches out yesterday and and they said it could take 1-2 months for swelling to stop.
John Knowlton
Man that sucks. 1 to 2 months before the swelling goes down it’s a long time to try to be careful. of course if it was me I would probably bump my head twice a day every day. Yeah, i'm sure 2 months is a worse case scenario. But it still sucks... Its literally right at the crown my head... I'm bald, so I look like a cone head. 23 minutes ago, John Knowlton said: My youngest boy just came by the house and drop this off for me. Your a diesel guy, are you aware of the problems with the 6.7 powerstroke from Ford?
John Knowlton
Which problem , what year do you have

I guess when they designed the motors, it was for European diesel.. The stuff in America breaks down the fuel injection pump, sends metal fragments to the motor and destroys it.. It literally cost us $12,000. Luckily it didn't destroy our motor, but our friends it did. you can not beat the international motors they made for Ford back in the 90s. John Knowlton
Most of our stuff that we're working on right now is all about 1 to 3 years old. I kind a remember on that series of engines we had a couple turbo chargers fail it seems like the NOX sensor was always going out and a few radiators. I think overall the 6.7 is a really good engine. John Knowlton
you are right on about the early 90s engines . Also I just remembered we are running bio Diesel back then and that's a screwed up everything.

I bet my dads dump from the 80s is still going too. the government got too involved with regulations and have ruined everything. Our Chevy is a gas job... 2015, 90k miles... Have had the transmission rebuilt, new catalytic converter, leak in the engine manifolds....And still doesn't run right. His 03 Chevy 2500 went 145,000 roughly before it needed a tranny... He used that thing for concrete, block, brick, stone, plowing and never had a problem until then.
