Thanks! I should be close to the 5/16" Grade 5.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll buy some. It sounds like a good/convenient thing to have anyways I must warn you, it stings when putting it on but the stuff is great. Yup, sometimes I've bitten them at work which is disgusting, sometimes they pop themselves. It seems the longer they stay around the worse they are.

matek
Standard Cobalt RGC 165 attempt: - MMS with pause: really close but fail. I shouldn't have paused. - ~15mm deep set: closed, but I wanted an MMS - MMS: fail, the set was good, but no mana left Despite all the bending, etc., I've improved in the past two months— especially my setting power. Still, I hoped for an MMS close so I'm not satisfied with my performance.
Blacksmith513
I bet your set strength is up because of the upper body strength used with bending.

But setting is very technical. It's a skill. Based on my "normal" lifts, I should be able to set much harder grippers... Heavy set practice seems to help, though. Btw thanks for the tip about the liquid bandage. It helped a lot in the first two days to keep the callus protecting the new skin.
matek
Two reverse bend cert attempts today: - Horrido A2 bolt (5/16" stainless 303) at 6" Single leathers, two hits to 51 degrees. I can go shorter for sure. - Bend Sport Canada Moose bar (5/16" CRS 1018) at 6.5" Single leathers, four big hits to 49 degrees. This was hard. Based on the batches I tried, Moose tends to be harder than IM reds. It looks like I always almost pass out from the first hit of big reverse bends... Makes my wife worry when she records the bends . A2 6" bend is from 2:38, Moose 6.5" bend is from 2:53. Edit: both attempts were approved Edited May 2, 2023 by matek

matek
Both reverse cert attempts I did on Tuesday were approved. I'm confident I can do the A2 at 5.5", maybe even shorter. But I need to get stronger to do the BSC Moose shorter (6"). @stranger is probably closer. 60mm pinch block (GoG) RH - 2x1 32.6kg/71.9lbs - 1x1 35.1kg/77.4lbs - 2x1 36.4kg/80.2lbs - both fail I could lift it both times but no lockout. I can do 79, but 80 continues to elude me... LH - 2x1 32.6kg/71.9lbs - 3x1 33.8kg/74.5lbs - one fail Couldn't lock out the last one. Blobs RH - 7x1 KWN50 (50.5lb/22.9kg) assisted lift LH - 7x1 KWN40 (41.2lb/18.7kg) lift Horn/anvil type lift (2" to 1.2") Both hands - 4x4 67.5kg/148.8lbs I bought a 20kg plate so I can finally use this implement, but I still need to buy more weights... Btw it's an old Tazaki plate, weighs 20.1kg/44.3lbs. Got it for ~26$ with shipping, so very good deal. Cleaned it up as much as I could, looks cool.

Also the 8.8 DU if my stupid left wrist finally allows it.
