Thanks John.

I live in Japan, in the Kansai area. Not far from Kyoto.

Some day I want to visit Japan. It looks like a fun place. Lately i've been thinking about ending up somewhere warm... Overall we've had a mild winter in Boston, but when I talk to my cousin in San Diego on Xmas day and hes floating in his pool I do get jealous.

Summer here is pure hell because of the humidity; you don't want that believe me. 😅 If you decide to visit one day, come in autumn, the best season here. Spring is also nice (but can be too many tourists).

DU 7" drill rod medley 7.1mm-8.2mm in 0.1mm increments
SK95 Japanese drill rods (0.95% Carbon).

The first longer session since early December.

Leather singles:
7.1mm (9/32") - 1 hit
7.2mm - 1 hit
7.3mm - 1 hit
7.4mm - hard batch, 1 hit

Hand slipped during the bend to a very awkward position, but 40 degrees +, so I didn't hit it twice.
7.5mm ("M") - 1 hit
7.6mm - 1 hit
7.7mm ("N") - 1 hit
7.8mm - 1 hit
7.9mm (5/16") - 1 hit
8.0mm  - soft batch, 1 hit
8.1mm - 3 hits

49 degrees in 3 hits, already tired. Overall, I'm not satisfied with my strength, but my endurance is fine.

Leather doubles:
8.2mm ("P") - 2 hits
Didn't want to push my luck with my left wrist (+ I was tired), so only this bend in doubles. 46 degrees.

Pretty tired/sleepy today, but not a bad workout.

60mm pinch block
RH
- 2x1 33.1kg/73lb
LH
- 2x1 31.8kg/70.1lb

KWN blob 40 - 18.7kg/41.2lb
RH
- 1x lift and 7-second hold
- 1x4
- 4x3

LH
- 1x lift and 3-second hold
- 2x2
- 3x1

I can't wait to have the 50lb blob.

Just two easier bends, hands and wrists are tired from yesterday
- Stainless bolt 6mm x 6" barehanded
Barehanded just feels jolly good as it should.
- CRS 9/32" x 7" reverse in IMP corduras
Over 40 degrees by one hit, but I hit it twice just to be sure.

A longer gripper workout

Grippers RH
- 1x2 GHP #7 (unrated) MMS
- 2x1 CoC #3 (unrated) MMS
- 2x1 GoG Elite #6 (unrated) 30mm block set
- 1x1 Standard adjustable Tungsten set to RGC 160, 29mm choked
- 1x1 Standard adjustable Tungsten set to RGC 160, 21mm choked
- 1x1 Standard Iron RGC 134, 38mm block set

Even this felt hard at this point.
- 2x1 GD Iron 90 Level 5, without extensions, 3rd spread, handles touching, MMS
- 3x10 GD Iron 90 Level 4, without extensions, 3rd spread, handles touching, MMS

Grippers LH
- 6x1 Standard Adjustable Titanium set to RGC 141, 31mm choked
The first few sets were very easy but sets 5-6 were hard.
- 2x4 U-shaped parallel gripper (30mm spread) set to RGC 128?
- 3x3 U-shaped parallel gripper (30mm spread) set to RGC 128?

This is still a fun gripper, but I'm starting to really doubt the rating. Or maybe it got weaker? (I forgot it from the picture btw).
- 2x9 GD Iron 90 Level 4, without extensions, 3rd spread, handles touching, MMS

DU in leather singles (not suedes)

- CRS 9/32" x 7"
- CRS HEX 7mm x 7"

These were the warmup.
- Bend Sport Canada Moose bar 5/16" CRS x 4.5" (~8mm x 114mm) cert attempt - accepted by Josh, cert list already updated
I rarely bend this short, so I had to hit it multiple times to get it. Very weird length. Bend starts at 3:18
- 3x CRS 21/64" x 7"
1 hit, 2 hits, 2 hits

All above 40 degrees.

By the way, I fixed the loose handle of my CPW x GG4 following THIS guide from CPW. The only difference was that I used a less runny Gorilla Superglue ("gel type"). I don't really use that gripper anymore, but that was one of my first grippers, and I like how it looks.

That moose DU was no joke!!!!

Thanks, London. It was weird to bend a bar this short. I rather go thicker or harder than short, but I'm not ready for the Nanook.

It'll be there soon for sure! I'm sure you could manage a weaker 7" edgin, I think I remember seeing you wobble a nanook, no?

Yea, I got it to ~10 degrees in doubles (it's on its way to the US to Phil to finish it, btw 😄). But it's most definitely harder than a Horrido 8.8, regardless of ratings (at least with the batches I have).
Once my left wrist is 100% recovered, I'll go after the 8.8, then the Nanook.

Strong bending like always. Your wrist will get there. It sucks progress can be slow with this stuff and injuries take forever to heal. I always feel like I’m walking a fine line.

but it’s always fun and that’s really what it’s about

~10° is a good kink, no wobble! It'll definitely be there soon. Excited to see the results.
