matek
2022/11/10 DU bending (singles and doubles) Left wrist still hurts, so no crazy volume this time. Still, quite a long workout. Doubles (leathers): - Drill rod (SK95) 8.3mm x 178mm (21/64" x 7") - 2 hits, 58 degrees I'm happy about this one. - Drill rod (SK95) 8.2mm x 178mm (size "P" or 0.327" x 7") - 2 hits, 52 degrees - C45 CRS (S45C) 8mm x 178mm (~5/16" x 7") - 1 hit, 63 degrees - CRS (SS400) 9mm x 203mm (0.354" x 8") - 2 hits, 55 degrees Singles (corduras): - CRS (SS400) HEX 7mm x 178mm (~9/32" x 7") - 1 hit, 85 degrees Singles (leathers): - CRS (SS400) 8.3mm x 178mm (21/64" x 7") - 1 hit, 81 degrees - CRS (SS400) 8.3mm x 165mm (21/64" x 6.5") - 1 hit, 78 degrees - 2x Drill rod (SK95) 7.9mm x 165mm (5/16" x 6.5") - 1 hit/each, 76 and 66 degrees My wrist got better and better during the workout, but probably it's just the adrenalin. Will see in a few hours... + I've braced bent this huge brass bar and bolt because I got these for DU, but I wanted to check first how hard they are. - Grade 4.8 Bolt 10mm x 180mm (0.394" x 7") - Brass (C3604B) 10mm x 178mm (0.394" x 7") Until 40 degrees, they behaved similarly, but the 4.8 was noticeably harder to start. I might get the brass DU if I'm super fresh, but I think this particular 4.8 is still out of my DU range. Btw I can one hit an FBBC golden bastard (9.5mm) in single leathers, but this brass material is slightly different (+0.5mm thicker). Anyways, I finished them sub 2", because why not.

But its a lot better. Where on your finger does it hurt? Mines the bottom "pad" and inch into my palm. I have one of those ironmind eggs and squeezing it seems to help. Got to get blood flowing to it.

I got this when I was experimenting with different grips on the hub. Probably a small tendon tear. Mine hurts the most from pressure on the affected area (grippers are the worst). So for now I'm trying to minimize exercises that hurt the most. If it doesn't change in the next few weeks, I'll take a short break. I hope your finger will heal soon, too. matek
2022/11/15 DU bending (singles and doubles) Doubles (leathers) - CRS (SS400) 9mm x 178mm (0.354" x 7") - 19 degrees in 3 mins I stopped at 3 mins because getting through that sticking point between 20-30 degrees hurts my left wrist greatly. Still, this felt much harder than the 9mm at 7.5" I bent not long ago. Different suppliers, and I think this is a harder steel (even if it's the same material on paper). - 3x C45 CRS (S45C) 8mm x 178mm (~5/16" x 7") - 60, 51, 58 degrees, each 1 hit - CRS (SS400) HEX 8mm x 178mm (~5/16" x 7") - 47 degrees, 2 hits Singles (leather) - Drill rod (O-1 from ECGB) 7.9mm x 127mm (5/16" x 5") - 47 degrees, 1 hit Actually, this was my first main bend of the session, so I managed to do it in one hit. I was simply curious if I could bend this at 5". I rarely go this short. - C45 CRS (S45C) HEX 7mm x 165mm (~9/32" x 6.5") - 81 degrees, 1 hit - C45 CRS (S45C) HEX 7mm x 178mm (~9/32" x 7") - 80 degrees, 1 hit - CRS (SS400) 8.3mm x 178mm (21/64" x 7") - 93 degrees, 1 hit - 3x Drill rod (SK95) 7.7mm x 152mm ("N" or 0.303" x 6") - 74, 75, 66 degrees, 1, 1, 2 hits - CRS (SS400) 8mm x 178mm (~5/16" x 7") - 87 degrees, 1 hit Pretty tiring, long session. Thanks, I'm getting closer and closer to that RGC 165 Cobalt, but bending is still the priority. If I remember correctly, you have never tried a Standard gripper. Very satisfying to close because the palm handle doesn't slip easily due to the sharp knurling.

matek
2022/11/17 Push Seated OHP (in elbow sleeves): After warmup, I worked my way up to a bodyweight press: 1x 80kg/176lb 1x 90kg/198lb 1x 100kg/220lb 1x 106kg/234lb (I have microplates in my gym so I can do 0.5kg increments) I haven't done much press/push lately, so most probably bending keeps me in shape. Normal OHP at bw should be easy if I can do it seated. After this, I did some volume to tire my shoulders and triceps. Dropping the weight and increasing the rep count: 1x2 100kg/220lb 1x3 95kg/209lb 1x4 90kg/198lb 1x6 85kg/187lb 1x8 80kg/176lb 1x9 75kg/165lb 1x10 70kg/154lb 1x10 65kg/143lb 1x12 60kg/132lb
