Ivan Cuk, the 65th man in the world to close the Mash Monster Gripper - Level 2

Could you tell us a little about your background in lifting? I used to play basketball so I didn't lift much. In recent years I have started to get in the gym more regularly.

How did you get into grip training? Jedd Johnson video with JujiMufu.

You are now a GripBoard Mash Monster, what would you recommend to those aspiring to close this gripper? Listen to your hands how much to do on a specific day.

What does your current grip routine look like? Warm up with #2, then 3.5 ccs, then attempt heavier grippers

How has your grip routine changed since you first started training your grip? I used to do negatives sometimes and sessions often, later realized it's not worth the risks and should just stick to once a week maximum.

There seems to be a significant variation in the frequency of grip workouts among trainees. Have you experimented with workout frequency and its effect on your training?  I train usually once a week, anything more is still doable but you need to break it up into parts throughout the week

What are your favorite grip exercises? Grippers

What kind of starting routine would you recommend for a trainee new to grip training? Gain strength all around, it will help in grip.

Who do you most admire in gripdom? Shamey, Myerscough, Holle

If you were to start over again with your grip training, what would you do differently? Train more general grip not just grippers.

What do you believe is the most difficult grip exercise? Closing GHP 10 and Cleaning the inch

What are some of your personal bests in grip exercises? 88,5kg Coc 4 wide set, 86kg 3.5 4 reps, RB 365N CCS, 43.5kg pinch

What do you believe is the most common mistake made by new grip trainees? Overtraining

What do you consider to be the greatest grip feats of all time? In the coming years, you will see.

Do you have any parting advice for readers?  Keep training subtle and simple.
