My Grip Routine

Recommended Posts

i've started to work my hands 3 times a week, working each aspect of hand strength (crush, pinch & wrist) in each session.

Mondays

-one arm dead lifts on a rolling thunder, 2 sets 5 reps

-pinch dead lifts on a hub-style pinch gripper, 2 sets 5 reps

-wrist rolling

Wednesdays

-work on COC's, 2 sets 5 reps

-wrist curls/revers wrist curls, 2 sets 5 reps

-static holds on hub-style pinche gripper for 15 seconds

Fridays

-leveraging with a sledge hammer, 2 sets 5 reps

-max lift dead lift with rolling thunder 2 sets

-thor's hammer, 2 sets 5 reps

*after every hand work out i work a bit on some dexterity balls. i've found this helps recovery.

any comments?

my goals are, well to eventually be certified as a Captain of Crush, but right now just simply to get my hands back to where they were. I was able to close the #2 with only a few reps, but had surgery in early September, and just recently started training again. i already owe a lot to Jedd and smitty cause they've given me some good tools of knowledge. I do have Brookfield's book, "mastery of hand strength."

thanks,

Stay Strong! :D

Keep up the routine you just described, give it a few weeks, gauge your results before adding or changing anything. It looks like a decent routine, although I wouldn't train crushing grip the same time as pinch gripping. Don't turn it into brain surgery, just train with focus and intensity. Good Luck.
