Ole' Puller
• 5/16 x 8 303SS (3 bars) • P x 8 O-1 drill rod (1bar) • Double wraps "For the next few weeks I'll return to my favorite standby ... KINK, SWEEP, CRUSH training. After 2 months of inconsistent training due to a busy work schedule and reoccurring shoulder issues from time to time. My bends feel a bit off target so I need to spend a few weeks reconditioning myself and my mind. For me, there's nothing like a healthy dose of kink, sweep & crush training to help line everything up. A quick observation... Like I stated on the video that this particular 303 stainless that I got from Devin Hoover (eatchalkgetbig) is truly mutant! The 303 stainless that I got from online metals is really good stuff but clearly this is in a league by itself. The 303 from online metals will for sure bind up immediately at the sweep, however this particular 303 that I'm working with now binds up immediately after the kink and it's very noticeable! That O-1 DR was binding like hell too! GREAT STEEL!

Ole' Puller
• 303ss x 8 & P x 8 O-1 sweeps • Fat wraps (1.48 - 1.49) "Here's a quick look at today's session. I used slightly thicker wraps (1.48 - 1.49) as opposed to the 1.35 - 1.37's I usually train with. I'll use this setup for a few sessions then I'll strip down a layer and carry on as usual. I did have some irritation in the left shoulder but nothing that got in the way. Overall the sweeps felt really good and I look forward to crushing this steel!"

This Friday I'll be crushing down the swept bars from last week." • 303ss x 8 • P x 8 O-1 • 1.48"/ 1.49" wraps (I'll go back down to 1.35" wraps in another session or two)

Ole' Puller
"Yesterday's crush down was tougher than expected but very rewarding in the end. The goal of course was to complete all 4 crushes, however I ran out of steam after 2 crush downs. I knew by the feel of this batch of steel that the crush would be very unforgiving! The 303 felt like I was trying to crush with a rubber ball in between both ends and the "P" O-1 drill rod just froze with 3½" to go! Tough session but eventually I got it done... PHEEEW!

Ole' Puller
"I switched things up just a bit for today's session. Instead of kinking bars today, I bent them from straight to a sweep position after realizing that my sweep to crush is suffering a bit. In addition, I attempted a braced bend on a king of all bastards bar but fell way short. I'll definitely finish it off but the boost it gave to today's workout was well worth the effort."

Ole' Puller
"I just finished off some crush work and one bend from start to crush zone. The 303 bit down hard and both crush downs each took longer than 5 minutes. I'm probably going to do some isometric spring crushes with a good dye spring to help with strength, especially from the 3" mark down to a completed bend of 2". I've shed quite a few pounds as well so I need to make adjustments at this bodyweight, but all things in time."

I'm pleased with today's training session and I've been experimenting with 2 training bends every 2 days and so far it feels pretty good!"

Ole' Puller
"Two terribly off center bends but they felt great and that's all that matters. Both 21/64 bars were dusted off quickly and my crush is feeling a little bit better ... Very grateful as always!"
Ole' Puller
Short & mid-bar braced bending • 5/16 hex, 5/16 SS, P O-1 drill rod, 5/16 G5 edgin, 3/8ths G2, 0.5 x 24" HRS "Here's a few pics of some braced bends I completed yesterday and today. Nothing special, but great for training as I gravitate more towards all around steel bending. I'd like to get back into bending variety which kept me very strong and balanced. I'm definitely going to get back into steel snapping as well which is probably one of the best heart and lung workouts you can do!"

Ole' Puller
"A little of this, a little that" • Two 5/16 x 8 black triangle Edgins (braced bend in 4 x 14 leathers) • One 12" length of 21/64 12L14 CRS, raw barehanded snap, no leg padding, initial bend over knee "Just finished up a very nice session of braced bending and steel snapping. I kicked off the session with 2 braced bends on tough black triangle Edgins that were very springy on the crush. I closed out today's training with a very pleasing snap on a 12" length of 21/64 CRS. For this snap I chose to go raw without hand wraps or leg padding. The stock was sturdy but forgiving and didn't pose too much of a risk given the lack of protection, overall it was awesome!"
