I really don’t do hub style lifts very often (I might jump over to them after my main lifts are done). For grippers I can close a CoC 2.5 but I haven’t really been focusing on them that much. I do plan on fitting them in here soon and improving that aspect.

1. Military- 95x5, 105x5, 120x5, 135x10

2. Little Bighorn- 101x1, 146x1, 156x1, 166x1, 177x1, 182x1

3. Finished with all kinds of random feats/attempts

-Lifted the Legacy 120 Blob

-Closed a GHP 6 (Rated 129)

-45lb Hub Transfer

10-31-2021

Had a fun session today training with Jason Otto, James Retarides, and Porkchop. Managed a couple good feats and got my hands on tons of things I don’t have in my garage gym. 

Some of the lifts I pulled off today were:

-2x45lb Plate Pinch

-110 Legacy Blob (53lbs) Clean and Press

-35lb Ivanko Hub Lift and Curl

-35lb Glob Lift (Half of a York 70 Globe)

That 53lb blob clean & press is next level! Great strength and control on the lift. Sounds like a great group of guys to train with also 👍

3. DB Rows- (90lb kettlebell thick handle)- 3x10

4. Tricep Pushdowns- 3x20

5. Curls- 4x20 (2 sets regular/2sets reverse curl)

1. Bench- 205x5, 230x3, 255x5

2. DB Floor Press(60’s)(with band tension)- 3x10

3. DB Rows(90lb Kettlebell thick handle)- 3x10

4. Tricep Pushdowns- 3x15

5. Ironmind Pinch Block- 56x5, 66x3, 76x1, 81x1

6. Gave the Thomas Inch Dumbbell the best attempt to date. Pulled it up with legs locked out. The lockout just wasn’t quite there (shoulder rounded over). Closing in on this feat with my right hand. I expect to pull this one off fairly soon.

1. Axle Double Overhand- 225x1, 255x1, 285x1, 305x1, 315x1 (fast rep and long hold at the top) recently I have been running lower percentages and just building some volume. Today went a little heavy but not in a rush.

2. Did some lifts on my new 154lb Anvil

3. Arm Assassin Wrist Wrench (2 3/8”)- 80lbs x 5 (both hands) 10reps total.

2. Saxon Bar(2”/Arm Assassin)- 95x1, 115x1, 135x1, 155x1, 175x1, 185x1, 208x1, 228x1 

3. Blob Ladder- lifted each blob with left hand then right hand. Did two runs of this and got the same reps/results on both 

Successfully lifted: 2trips through 

York85 (43lbs), York 90 (45lbs), York 95 (49lbs), York 100(next gen 50lbs), York 110Legacy(53lbs)…. Missed the York 100Fatman (53.4lbs) and York 120Legacy (57.2lbs)

It’s not something I normally do. I will randomly jump over on a hub or something after my main lifts or main work. I normally don’t train it or spend a lot of time on it. Most recent hub style lifts I’ve pulled are a 70lb lift on The Ironmind Hub and I added 3x5lb plates to my 45 for a 60lb lift (I could probably do a little more haven’t really pushed that style of lift)

Those are good hub lifts for sure...I do mine after lifting the block weights as well. The block weights have added about 10 lbs to my hub lifts without any specific practice.

Not a real training day for me but did want to try and lift this 232lb Train Axle. 
Pulled off a solid lift. 
Good start going into this weeks training.

4. Ironmind Pinch Block- 42x1, 57x1, 68x1, 78x1, 87x1, 91x1 (Left hand Only)

5. Fatman Rows- 4x15

• Lifted York 100 Fatman Blob- 53.4lbs with left and right hand at the end of training .. this has been more common and easier to do as training progresses.

Thanks.. I’m not a huge fan of the Hub but would like to get it to 80+.
I mess around with hub stuff here and there but it’s far from a main focus. It is one of the three events coming up for the Armlifting USA super series so I’ll be training it a little more than normal the next couple weeks.

Yeah that’s unreal man. I don’t like the hub either have only tried it twice but I think my best was like 45lbs. Been working the pinch block lots lately and still not where even close to the weight your pulling on it.

Good to see your doing part 2 of the super series 👍 Do you use the claw type grip on the hub or the more door knob type of style?

I would say about 95% of the time regular finger tips/claw grip. I don’t even fold or wrap the thumb like some people do. I still kinda mess around and experiment with other grips from time to time but haven’t felt too much of a difference or reason for me to change it. I’m far from a hub expert and haven’t really put a lot of time in on it, so maybe over time or if I can get around more experienced hub lifters I’ll figure out better technique.

2. Blue Fat Grips 1 Arm Rack Pull (high rack pull)- 135x1, 145x1, 155x1, 165x1

Finished with: 135 for 20total reps (10R/10L)

3. Few lifts with the 142lb Inch Bell

4. Did an 11sec Hold with the 142lb Inch Bell + 50lb York Blob.

2. 2 7/8” Vertical Handle (Arm Assassin)- 97x1, 141x1, 151x1, 161x1, 177x1 (Right hand only) probably some more in the tank but a little rushed..

3. Flask 1hand- 54x1, 69x1, 80x1, 95x1 (Left Hand Only)

shorter session today.. still little tired from Weds. training. Wanted to still work some pinch but didn’t wanna use the IM block again so messed around with the Flask. Felt like I could have pulled 85-90lbs on it all day but short on time so so ran it up to 95 for a solid lift. Then attempted 100lbs and broke it a decent amount off the ground (may have been good for a pull to height type lift) but no clean lockout or solid hold at the top like the 95lbs.
