What is up with the Russians the past month?

I'm pretty sure Valery Tolstyh has CCS closed the #3.5 for reps if my memory is correct as well. He's MM7 also.

Don't know how much he training now but I'm a bit surprised he hasn't certed the #3.5. Probably because it has been hard to find ref's.

I went through the IronMind “Captains of Crush” lists for the Number 3. The first Russian was Certified in 2010.

Of the last 81 who have become Certified, 28 have been from the US, and 25 have been Russians, and 28 from the rest of the world.

I vaguely remember David Horne saying on this site, perhaps a dozen or so years ago, something like “just wait until the Eastern Europeans get involved”.
