Cannon
History is about to be made as Stephen Anderson has stated intentions to sign up for the MM9! Many years ago, Warren made MM9 and MM10 prototypes for the GripBoard. We chose Pro grippers with 5/16" and 1/4" mounts respectively, based purely on specs. Those grippers have never been used nor shipped to anyone. Now that Stephen is ready to go, we took a closer look at the grippers we received years ago. The Pro MM9 is a colossal monster. It is in no way a feasible jump from the MM8. Warren also erroneously stamped it with the "9" upside down versus the "MM" so it actually looks like "MM6" from the end. So all around we feel it's a poor choice to be the next cert gripper. HOWEVER! We also have a flush-mounted GE with a perfect 2-3/4 spread stamped M9 and with better knurling. This gripper presents a feasible challenge to follow the MM8. As a moderation staff, we have chosen this gripper to be the official MM9! It also has an interesting quirk that Warren double-pinned one of the handles. We feel that makes it special as well. We are happy to bring you the best cert possible in keeping with the spirit of the Mash Monster ladder. And in any good ladder, the rungs are as evenly spaced as possible. Now, let's see if @Stephen Anderson can be the first person to reach Level 9! Sign-ups for MM9 are open. 11
Bill Piche
A special thanks goes to Matt and his gripper expertise. This was all him in recognizing the gripper was "off" (besides the stamping error Warren made) as a good jump and a consistent jump from the MM8. 5
Chez
Wow. Super interesting. I’m assuming the MM 10 is also too large a jump right?

Cannon
19 hours ago, Hopefully said: As long as the mm10 later on isn't over 250 lbs or something, wouldnt it make sense to keep it as it is? Final boss and all. That’s our current thought process. “Final boss.”
