Yeah man big time. I also have long arms and that helps the deadlift though so can’t complain too much.

I think the million dollar question is… does size matter when it comes to femurs?

I don’t know for sure but I think so. Someone with short femurs can squat with less range of motion.

Absolutely. 

 

Those with long femurs need to squat wider, squat low bar,  and possibly look at using flat shoes. Lifters aren't often a good choice, but each case is individual. 

 

It takes longer to get proficient at squats,  but it is possible.

Also  , perform grippers after squats,  not the other way around,  if possible. 

 

You'll get PRs. Worked for everyone I've ever coached.

Thanks for explaining it like that. Makes a lot of sense. I never really thought the size of a femur as being a factor.
