From one lifter to another imho, i think you would do better with a different warm up scheme.

The 54321 method is good one, Its also a mental coundown making your brain think its becoming easier.

You try something like.

5kg x 5, 10kg x 4, 15kg x 3, 20kg x 2

25kg x 1, 27-28kg x 1 then 30kg.

Even though 25kg may seem easy. Another 5kg is a huge jump percentage of max wise.

It also gives time to get the Cns fully activated doing more warm ups.

I would agree with mcalpine I just started doing the IM hub recently my reps go as 3-3-2-1-1-1 and depending how easy that last set goes then I’ll add weight on the next workout. My next IM hub will be this evening I’ll post tomorrow.  Keep training

Thank you guys for the inputs! I will keep this in mind. Mainly I´ve gone with this setup because just its fast. 2-3 set then I am up at a maxlift. And I´ve been doing lots of max lift attempts lately :)

@lone Wolf Are you doing this as a ramp up for max lifts or just training? And the final ones (1, 1, 1) are they increasing or at the same weight? I´ll check your session out for sure 👍

Stiffleg DL, w. FGX - Trying new things and this felt good. Heavy for grip but easy on body. Not sure if it's monkey grip when having all fingers on one side? I do look like a monkey.

80 kg x 6 6 6 6

Dynamic pinch - Very nice contact today. Used a harder band than usual.

4 set

Comments: Grippers tomorrow if hands are ok. Still no WD2, maybe Brexit is messing delivery up. Not even able to trace package.

Yes you'll going to have to pay some taxes on that one I'm afraid. It's so lame. Got a letter today, I should pay 41% tax for a package from UK.

Totally forgot that this would be a problem. Last time I ordered UK was in EU then of course it went smoothly. Lol 41% is ridiculous? Almost cheper to get it custom made here :)

CoC #2,5 (132) 20 mm block - First 3 set accurate, others are just assumptions. Was very stressed and didn't really kept track of reps and there might have been another set or two. However +2 reps on first set since last session.

LH: 10 7 6 5 6 8 6

RH: 12 9 8 6 8 4 6

Extensors - IM EYHB

Yes it's very sad. Ordered some bolts and I thought it was a great deal, also forgot that from the 1st of January this year UK is not in EU anymore. Turned out not to be such a good deal after that. But still the only place I could find those specific bolts.

It's a real shame now, you can't order from David Horne anymore without having to pay tax and fee's. Might as well order everything from the US now. Won't be a huge difference in shipping costs.

Nice work with the #2.5 by the way. Keep pumping reps and it will pay off in the long run.

I know there are at least one Italian site and also the Horrido guy in the bending section that sell steel that I would consider next time I order (if they have something at my level) but I think you are all ready aware of those channels. I think I paid 130$ for nails + almost 100$ for shipping and then another 50$ (?) dollar in tax to get my nails. Which of course is close to insanity.

Thanks, hopefully I can get some transfer to the heavy grippers. At least now in the beginning I should be able to increase a couple of reps more but mainly I struggling towards a higher week volume.

IM Blockbuster - Tried out a new set up after some input here in the log.

LH: 10 kg x 5 15 kg x 4 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 1 28,75 kg x 1 30 kg x 1 27,5 kg x 3 3

RH: 10 kg x 5 15 kg x 4 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 1 28,75 kg x 0 26,25 kg x 2 2 2

Comments: Maybe I started to heavy. After max single 2 or 3 back of sets depending on how many succeeded singles.

Just awesome! Very well done on the 30kg! I knew what i said  with the warm ups would help you. 3 reps at 27.5kg is very good as well.

A great workout.

CoC #2,5 (132) 20 mm block - Didn't feel great here either. Strange that I got the reps up so high. Maybe some closes were not closed. Stopped because middle part of pinkie got skinned. Hopefully I can go again on Friday as planned. Though last time I had this issue it lasted so long that I´ll lost track of when it was actually healed up. Talking moths.

LH: 11 8 9 8 8 6

RH: 8 11 9 8 10 8

Dynamic Pinch - Was in a hurry yesterday so redid it today.

IM Blockbuster - Really nice with double pr. And best thing; I think there might another 1,25 kg, 32,5 kg was pretty solid. Not very successful with RH today though.

LH: 10 kg x 5 5 15 kg x 5 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 1 28,75 kg x 1 30 kg x 1 31,25 kg x 1 32,5 kg x 1

RH: 10 kg x 5 5 15 kg x 5 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 0 0 25 kg x 4 4 4

Comments: Got that invoice from customs, package should arrive any day now. Really looking forward to try the WD2.

DO - Really struggled on third nail but it just didn't got it past the kink. First two felt good, think my technique has been improved.

Yellow x 2

25/2

Chins w. FG - Alternated between double overhand and monkeygrip. Did expect more reps but I'm used to a non revolving bar. The current gym doesn't really have a good chin setup.

5 4 5 4 4 3

IM Hub - Bah, was 100% certain that 20 kg would be easy.

LH: 15 kg x 7 17,5 kg x 4 18,75 kg x 3 20 kg x 0

RH: 15 kg x 7 17,5 kg x 3 18,75 x 1 1

27/2

CoC #2,5 (132) 20 mm block - Maybe not consistent but top set is still increasing. Was fooling around with the set today and slipped with pinkie on the first 5th rep on RH. Forgot number on last set, need to bring pen and paper.

LH: 9 7 9 6 X

RH: 13 5 9 5 X

Comments: Paid my WD2 on monday but it still seems to be at customs. Really looking forward to start reverse bending.

Chins w. FG - Still very hard.

5 4 4 4 4 4

Platecurls - Playing some with the 10 kg plate but it is too heavy for fingertips. I don't get how people like Adam Glass curl 20 kg without breaking their fingers.

LH: 5 kg x 12 12 12

RH: 5 kg x 12 12 12

1/3

DO - More nails but worse technique. 3 big hits on blue but barely a kink on it.

Yellow x 3

Blue x 0

Comments: Maybe grippers tomorrow, my wrist feel a bit strange atm.

Great work. Work on the plates curls, they ahve huge benefits. What width plates are they? Makes a big difference. My 10kgs are 300mm or 12" wide yet most are 250" or 10".

Thanks mate! I really like the plate curls, I get great muscle activation, pump and they hit my wrists really well. However the stress on the top third of my fingers is to much to handle. I like to go heavy but this is an exercise where I find it very hard.

The plates are standard Olympic plates, 18" diameter. Estimation 15 mm thickness for 5 kg and 30 mm for 10 kg plate. The gym also have some odd plates, maybe similar measurements as yours. Unfortunately those 10 kgs have a very thick edge making them no so good for platecurls and the thinner plates (normal thickness) are 15 kg but they also have some stupid edges. Otherwise I think the 15 kg plate could be a good bridge between 5 kg to 10 kg olympic plates.

IM Hub - Finally, CTD here I come! Good lifting today also from RH. Some air under 21,25 kg on LH but RH was only sliding on floor.

LH: 15 kg x 5 16,25 kg x 4 17,5 kg x 3 18,75 kg x 2 20 kg x 1 21,25 kg x 0 18,75 kg x 3

RH: 15 kg x 5 16,25 kg x 4 17,5 kg x 3 18,75 kg x 2 20 kg x 1 21,25 kg x 0 18,75 kg x 3

Extensors - IM EYHB

Comments: So I need to put some more effort into the fatbar now so I can tick of all the CTD feats.

IM Blockbuster - LoL! Quadruple pr today. This was not really expected but so nice. Not that bad attempt on 33,75 kg on RH.

LH: 10 kg x 5  15 kg x 4 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 1 30 kg x 1 32,5 kg x 1 33,75 kg x 1 35 kg x 1

RH: 10 kg x 5  15 kg x 4 20 kg x 3 25 kg x 2 27,5 kg x 1 30 kg x 1 31,25 kg x 1 32,5 kg x 1 33,75 kg x 0

WD2 - So finally got the tool. Look like a nice piece of equipment. I will just try to get a feel for it and play around with it the next couple of days. Next week I will hopefully start to increase the load. Got an orange spring, I almost regret that I didn't ordered another spring as well. Even though the orange probably will be enough for now.

Comment: Friday, sunny outside and pr. I can live with this.

CoC #2,5 (132) 20 mm block - I knew prior to session this will not be the best. Maybe I have stagnated now after a couple of weeks. I´ll give it another 3 sessions or so before I´ll do something else.

LH: 10 7 8 8 5 5

RH: 8 6 8 10 7 7

CoC #2 (107) 20 mm block - Just for fun.

LH: 14 10 10

RH: 15 15 15

WD2 - Just figuring out how it is suppose to be done. Level 3-3 was hard painwise while musclewise there is still some more to give. I´ll stay on level 2-2 as max for a while and ramp up very slowly.

1-1 x 5

2-2 x 5

3-3 x 3 3 3

1-1 x 5

7/3

Deadlift w. FG - Long time ago I did only fatgripz. Not getting 150 kg was a disappointment.

140 kg x 2

150 kg x 0 0

140 kg x 2 2 2

FG curls

IM Hub - Yeah buddy!! Light weight! Not really light but ok lifts. Had to rush the hub today, was first thinking of skipping it but hands felt ok so why not? When you rest your competitors train.

LH: 10 kg x 5 15 kg x 3 17,5 kg x 3 20 kg x 1 22,5 kg x 1 20 kg x 1

RH: 10 kg x 5 15 kg x 3 17,5 kg x 3 20 kg x 1 21,25 kg x 1 20 kg x 1

Comments: Maybe some light training next couple of days but thinking of staying off until Friday and then hit grippers. Hopefully I can hit some high numbers if properly recovered.
