CoC #3 (152) CCS - First and last only with 30 mm block. Hard time getting the set right. Feels like I have more in me but I can't get it out.

LH: 2 0 1 0 1 1

RH: 2 0 1 0 0 1

IM Hub - Very good! Seems as the chalk starting to settle now. Pretty solid with 5 reps, left was easy. Got 20 kg hoovering with left but not really air.

LH: 15 kg x 5 5 5 20 kg x 0

RH: 15 kg x 5 5 5 20 kg x 0

Extensors

5 set

Comments: Hands are still destroyed from fatgripz + bending last weekend. I usually don't have this hard to recover so I'm not really sure whats up.

Credit card setting a 3 is no joke. Well done man.

On the hub you probably would get 20kg if you didnt do 15 reps at 15kg first.

Thanks for the encouragement Mr! I'm gonna pull those 20 kg for the CTD then I'm gonna start hunting you on the hub..!

IM Blockbuster - Drop that 30 kg halfways on LH, no movement on RH. Used a lot of chalk.

LH: 25 kg x 1 1  30 kg x 0 0 27,5 kg x 0 0 20 kg x 5 5 5

RH: 25 kg x 0 1 30 kg x 0 0 27,5 kg x 0 0 20 kg x 5 5 5

31/1

FatgripzExtreme - Crap, got 130 kg up halfways here as well.

120 kg x 1 125 kg x 1 130 kg x 0 0 127,5 kg x 0 0 120 kg x 2 2 2

DU - The wraps are so bad! Spent like 30 min yesterday trying to fix em but it only gets worse. Yellow went so easy but blue didn't move. Gave it a couple of hits then session timed out.

Yellow x 1

Blue x 0

Comments: Got to fix one of those "wrapping boards" because it really sucks spending half the session wrapping something that doesn't wrap. Otherwise nice weights but maybe too many zeros.

Warm up with much lower reps and the 20kg will fly up  What is CTD?

That max lift wasn't scheduled. I just thought, what the heck, lets pull 20 kg when 15 kg felt good. For a normal max attempt I usually do as above on the IM block or FatGripz, some light lifts and then one or two singles before I go max.

CTD is Iron Mind Crush-To-Dust challenge where you should CCS a #2, lift 20 kg on the IM hub and pull 90 kg on the Rolling Thunder. Not as glorious as a #3 Cert but keeps me motivated to keep struggling. I've all ready abandoned the idea of hitting a world record or placing top 3 in any major comp :)

Man i should of guessed it was that haha. To me its the rolling thunder part thats hard, the other 2 are so easy in comparison i think.

Good luck on that, your thick bar looks strong.

CoC #3 (152) 30 mm block - Not sure if all where closed. Didn't really feel for grippers today but it was almost a week ago so felt pretty much mandatory to go for it. Still overthinking the set.

LH: 2 2 1 2 2 1

RH: 2 1 2 1 1 1

IM Hub - Bah! I thought that 20 would go up no problem but wasn't really even close. Used a lot more chalk than last week also so this was a complete failure.

LH: 20 kg x 0 17,5 kg x 2 2 2

RH: 20 kg x 0 17,5 kg x 1 2 0

Extensors

5 set

Comments: 1 day off grip doesn't seem to be enough atm. Next time I have 2 days off grip before doing grippers. That sucks!

IM Blockbuster - Yeah buddy! That 30 kg went quite easy on LH but didn't move much on RH.

LH: 25 kg x 1 27,5 kg x 1  30 kg x 1 22,5 kg x 5 5 5

RH: 25 kg x 1 27,5 kg x 1 30 kg x 0 22,5 kg x 5 5 5

Extensors - Forgot it yesterday so doing it today.

5 set

Comments: Not much but nice to at 30 kg. I'm not a big fan of having tons of equipment but I'm really keen on getting a WD2, a chocked gripper and a new filed gripper. Also a KINGKONG package would be nice haha.

Strong work on that 30KG on the blockbuster. Good pinching strength. I hate my BB. Its an old model and the paint is slick as hell lol.

Thanks man! Its ok, but not really a good pound-for-pound. You are way ahead of me there.  Hopefully still room for some more improvement, but I have no intention to go for max lift in a while. I think my block is 4-5 years old, hold chalk well but without chalk the paint is as you say, slick as hell! My problem though is that it is too wide. Even though I don't have small hands, I think 3" is too wide. I think 50-60 mm is more suitable for me.

Wristcurl - Not sure why I am doing this. My tips don't like it. Those 10 kg reps were supported by other hand.

LH: (5 kg x 10 + 10 kg x 3) x 3

RH: (5 kg x 10 + 10 kg x 3) x 3

Dynamic Pinch -

4 set

Comments: Nice pump today, back session went quite good as well.

4-5 years old means it will be the current model, mine is around 2003-4 way before the started using textured paint on it. The width is wide though, i much prefer 60mm like yourself. Ive never tried any narrower but mighy buy a 50mm block soon.

DO - Felt ok today. Nails bent quite easy, think I could have done more if I had more time. Unfortunately elbows went more down than forward so technique is still shit. Tried to snap the first nail but I soon realized this will take time so I just bent a second nail instead. Almost ridiculous to call this a session, the total effort was < 2 min incl. snap time.

Yellow x 2

Comments: Bought a WD2 so I'm stepping up the bending game!

FatgripzExtreme - Hard. Thought I would do at least 4 maybe 5 reps. 70 kg was super seted with hub.

110 kg x 3 3 3 3 70 kg x 10 10 10

IM Hub - Why don't 20 kg get up?

LH: 15 kg x 5 5 5

RH: 15 kg x 5 5 5

8/2

CoC #3 (152) 30 mm block - Super annoying that RH set is so bad. It's only getting worse lol. Second set was CCS attempt.

LH: 3 0 2 2 1 0 1 0

RH: 2 0 1 1 0 1 1 0

IM Hub - I didn't felt 100% with RH so I just went better safe than sorry and didn't go for the third rep.

LH: 16,25 kg x 5 5 5

RH: 16,25 kg x 2 2 2

Extensors

5 set

Comments: Thinking of a restart and go for reps on #2.5. #3 doesn't really goes that well atm.

CoC #3 (152) 30 mm block - Lol stupid me doing grippers again.

LH: 2 2 2 1

RH: 1 0 1 0

IM Blockbuster - It wasn't the plan to do pinch today but what doesn't kill you...?

LH: 20 kg x 5 5 5

RH: 20 kg x 5 5 5

Extensors

5 set

Comments: I was thinking of doing 20 mm blocksets to increase the reps but realized that the with this shit setting I will not be able to close the gripper. It just rotates end up in a position where I cannot produce any power.

IM Hub - I did my best to not hit any zeros. My intention was not to go max. Strange I did 2 reps on 17,5 last week and not managed to get 18,75 kg up with RH.

LH: 18,75 kg x 1 1 1 1 20 kg x 0 18,75 kg x 1

RH: 18,75 kg x 0 0 17,5 kg x 1 1 1 1

DU - Felt ok nothing more. I find it hard got transfer power to the blue nail due to its length.

Yellow x 1 1

Blue x 0

Extensors - Forgot to do it yesterday again.

5 set

Comments: Overall nice session.

Good session! How are you training your extensors? I am searching for new methods

I think the answer Mcalpine gave you in your thread covers most of my opinion. When I write extensors in mean some kind of elastic band, currently the IM EYHB but it had another band where each finger got tied up. The quality however was bad and it just broke so I´ll just stick to the IMs for now. I also do some reverse curls w/wo fatgrips and sometimes also reverse wristcurls. I mainly do it to stay injury free so I don't follow any plan or so. Just doing it when there is some spare time.

IM Blockbuster - Lol

LH: 30 kg x 0 25 kg x 3 3 5

RH: 30 kg x 0 25 kg x 2 0 2

Comments: I'm having a bit of pinch addiction at the moment. When I'm half way out the door I'll just go back and getting the pinch block even though I'm not supposed to.

How do you warm up for pinching before you attempt the 30kg?

I usually do some lighter lifts and then a heavy single before the attempt. This time I did 20 kg x 5 25 kg x 1 (and that was so easy that I decided to go max). Before any training usually do 10-15 min cardio to get full body warm up and activation.

CoC #2,5 (132) 20 mm block - I think +2 reps on every set since a couple of month back. PR is 11 reps with no block so that is short term goal to beat. Final goal is to do at least 3 sets on each hand at 10 reps or more. Main problem: When working on higher reps, first session is usually the best session, then numbers just start to fall. It will be interesting to see if this is the case this time as well.

LH: 8 6 8 8 8 6

RH: 10 9 8 8 7 8

IM Hub - Ok with LH harder with RH.

LH: 15 kg x 6 6 6 6

RH: 15 kg x 6 6 6 6

Extensors - IM EYHB

Yellow: 30 30 30

15/2

DU - Did a proper warm up and felt that technique improved from worst to bad. Even the blues felt managable today.

Yellow x 1 1

Blue x 1 1

Comments: Not much. I think my WD2 will arrive this week.

From one lifter to another imho, i think you would do better with a different warm up scheme.

The 54321 method is good one, Its also a mental coundown making your brain think its becoming easier.

You try something like.

5kg x 5, 10kg x 4, 15kg x 3, 20kg x 2

25kg x 1, 27-28kg x 1 then 30kg.

Even though 25kg may seem easy. Another 5kg is a huge jump percentage of max wise.

It also gives time to get the Cns fully activated doing more warm ups.

I would agree with mcalpine I just started doing the IM hub recently my reps go as 3-3-2-1-1-1 and depending how easy that last set goes then I’ll add weight on the next workout. My next IM hub will be this evening I’ll post tomorrow.  Keep training
