Emmanouil Marizas
How big is the difference of spining between a new generation Rolling Thunder and older generations ones?
Fist of Fury
Not a big difference between the second and third as long as they are new and fully functional. The problem is when chalk and dirt find it's way under the plastic handle. First generation I don't know anything about I've only tried it once and that handle didn't spin at all... 1
Boulderbrew
Depends on which batch of new handles you get. Most of the new handles (with end caps) have grooves running through the plastic kinda like a vinyl record. 240-250 feels really hard with this handle, but my second generation (which spins) I have pulled 275 on. Let’s not even talk first generation...it’s just a stuck 2 3/8” piece of plastic 1

I should have added, it doesn’t feel very hard on the other versions. I rarely miss that weight on older handles. I could miss 240-250 any day on the end cap handle

It spins really good, not fast, but decent spin. I have managed to do 90kg with, which is my pr at the moment. Thanks for the info!

I guess I missing the mark with my humor. 90 kg is great for only one month of training. I have been training various rolling handles for about four years and my PR on the RT is 97.5 kg at The Olympia 2019. Strong! My next goal is 95kg, but it seems adding even only 1kg over 90kg is so difficult, but i keep trying. I was invited in Olympia 2019 but i didn't manage to come. If it goes off this year there might be an even stronger field because of the lack of other competition options. This guy kicked my azz, but was the greatest guy to raise the competition and fun level I've ever experienced. Hope to meet you there one day! I want so much to compete in a big armlifting event!
