liftyzig
Yesterday I decided to steal borrow my Dad's anvil, it's a 144# Peter Wright. I hit it with a wire wheel first to knock off the rust, grease and loose paint. Nest I wiped off the remaining dust, snapped a few pics and chalked it up! Lifting this anvil by the horn is leaps and bounds easier than my 150# Fisher anvil (also pictured) After lifting it right-handed several times I realized I might actually be able to get a full lift left-handed. It hurt my thumb a bit, felt like it was twisting it, but I eventually got the full lift lefty too All in all it was a great impromptu training session, lifting it with my right hand was automatic, no issues at all, even with grabbing the horn near the top. I think that will help me train for LBH at KK2020, we'll see. I've got to get better at lifting the 150# Fisher so I can lift them both at once!
