Thanks, Chez! But it’s so simple: double the kilos and add 10% of that figure. 😆 Or just do Powerlifting all your life and have the numbers memorized.

Well lifts measured in pounds sound much heavier, and may in fact be so.

Today's Workout. Including cause there is shoulder and triceps work in it.

AM Session

Farmer's Walks - each weight down and back a 35 foot course

120 lbs per hand

170 lbs per hand

200 lbs per hand - most weight the hands have felt since surgery and it felt good

PM Session

Seated One Arm Shoulder Press

70 lbs - 10x each hand

75 lbs - 8x each hand

80 lbs - 5x each hand

90 lbs - 5x each hand

- fitness room at my coop community only has up to 50 lb DBs so I got created and placed another DB on top perpendicular across the handles of the 50 lb and holding it in place with my index and middle fingers. Made the balancing a little tricky but it got the job done and probably worked my stabilizers more.

Seated Dumbbell Later Raises

30 lb DBs - 4 sets of 10x

Rear Lateral Dumbbell raises (face down on a slight incline bench)

30 lb DBs - 4 sets of 10x

Dumbbell Skull Crushers

40 lb DBs - 4 sets of 10x.

- Starting to get back in the groove.

I pressed 225 freedoms for a set of 10 reps with relative ease yesterday. Elbows were already shot from armwrestling the day before. Might shoot for a max lift of 335 freedoms before the end of the year.

Right now about 92-93 kg. Plan to stay a bit heavier around 95-100 kg for a year or so before I go back down. I figured that while I’m heavier I might as well do some heavier lifting. I won’t be training super hard for this so I’m not going to be go after any absurd weights. But 150ish kg should hopefully be possible with the amount of training I’m willing to put in.

335lb. bench press from Oct. 26, 2019; 215lb. bodyweight.  Pinkies on the bar rings.  Sloppy form but been working on it.  Right now I'm running my first Sheiko training blocks; been training lately with a closer grip with hands between smooth and the ring on the bar.  Seeing great results with Sheiko after running the starting strength Texas method for about 6 months.  I stalled  on bench press 5 x 5's at 280lb. for about a month; I tried dropping weight back 10%, tried dropping to twice weekly bench sessions, but I couldn't break the plateau; every time I'd just get 280 x 4 on the first set.  After a month of this I just said **** it; I need to try a high volume program; micro-loading 1-2lb just isn't for me.  Last weekend I finished my second four-week block of Sheiko (intermediate large load); I never went above 285lb. x 2 during training.  Last Sunday I maxed out on bench and squat; hit a 340lb. bench with fingers between smooth and ring in perfect form (224lb. bodyweight).  I'm due to max out again 3 weeks from now; hoping to get 350lb.+.  Hopefully when I switch back to a wider grip I'll get 10-20lb. extra from the closer grip on the next run of the program.  No need to send me any whiskey since I joined the party late.

Welcome aboard David and Aaron!

I’m gonna have to modify my goal, since I’m cutting a little weight. 350 weighing in the low 230s sounds about right. Of course no whiskey. 😢

Real working sets from today.  About 70 lbs off at the bottom,  slack at the top.

Dang.  Hopefully just a minor tweak.  I woke up with a really sore shoulder this morning.   This is becoming a war of attrition among a bunch of invalids. 🤣
