So A trainer at my gym asked to bench with me Wednesday so that should provide some motivation for a good workout.....let’s go!

I'm starting to feel froggy again.  I should be back on the bench within the next month.  My current training program consists of walking 1-2 miles a day.  🙄

Another great workout tonight and I beat the trainer up real good. He’s going to be feeling it. 

Flat Barbell Bench Press

4 warm ups 

260 lbs - 6x, 7x, 6x, 6x

320 lbs - smooth single 

sling shot work now 

290 lbs - 3 doubles with SS

305 lbs - double with SS

320 lbs - double with SS

335 lbs - single with SS

350 lbs - single with SS

Close Grip Barbell Floor Press - every rep paused 

230 lbs - 3x

265 lbs - 2x

300 lbs - 1x. Probably could have gotten a second but decided to save it 

Incline Barbell Bench Press

230 lbs - 3x

260 lbs - 2x

290 lbs - 2x. Felt good

245 lbs - 6x and spotter put finger tips to help me finish the 7th

Machine Pec Deck Flys 

250 lbs (stack) - 4 sets of 10x

Prone Hamstring Curls

95 lbs - 10x

125 lbs - 10x

140 lbs - 10x

155 lbs - 8x

Leg Press Machine Calf Raises 

1 warm up

300 lbs - 4 sets of 30x

In such a great groove right now. Thought last night would be the last workout of the cycle but I’m still getting stronger so i will push it another week. Took video of the bench working sets 

Flat Barbell Bench Press
4 warm ups 
260 lbs - 6x, 7x, 7x, 6x

325 lbs - smooth single 

Slingshot work

295 lbs - 3 doubles with slingshot 

310 lbs - double with SS

325 lbs - double with SS

340 lbs - single with SS. Easy but hit pegs on way up throwing me off balance

355 lbs - single with SS

Close Grip Floor Press - all reps paused 

235 lbs - 3x

270 lbs - 2x

305 lbs - 1x nice, more in the tank

Incline Barbell Bench Press

235 lbs - 3x

265 lbs - 2x

295 lbs - 2x. Ya buddy

255 lbs - 6x 

Machine Pec Deck Flys

250 lbs (stack) - 4 sets of 10x

Nobody ever asks, "did you f@€k the hot chick perfectly?"  They just want to know if you did it.  Great job!

Of course the barbell will be getting together with her barbell girlfriends tonight to rate every aspect of those reps.  🤣🤣🤣

quick random note, after that raw max, I can now say 100% for sure that the sleeves give me no less than 10lbs when I wear them.

I knew they helped, I could feel it. But dang I didn’t know sleeves alone could give 10 pounds!

Just started my third training cycle. Hitting bench tonight. Been steadily improving

Unfortunately, while I went on a soap box a few pages back about how the bench calculators have been super accurate for me, I now know it’s off 10+ pounds. In sleeves I’m thinking 385-390 is possible on a good day. Especially if I let my form go to shit and lift my ass off the bench. 😜

I suspect I’ll need to hit 315 for 9-10 before I can bag that 4 hondo trophy tho.

guys please forgive me for continuing to post prs here.. my bench thread is so far behind that it wouldn’t make sense to post there until I update it. And starting more threads in the strength forum every pr could bury this thread if it doesn’t liven back up. I don’t want that to happen. I need to see somebody else get the 375 here before I let the thread die.
