sorry no posts in a while fellas. Still in this. Haven’t missed a workout since I’ve been back at it. So far, very unimpressed with the vitamins. Other than modest weight gain and noticeably increased energy. Definitely don’t work like everyone who has never taken them in their life says they work. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Bw currently 232

Just now getting to where I left off before the pandemic. Thought this stuff was supposed to work faster! 🤬

but I can’t complain too much... it’s only taken not even 2 months of benching every 5th day to get back to my all time strongest. So they work. Just not as fast as I had hoped.

will update my workout log when I get a clean pr on vid.

who is left? Chez, Aaron, and myself?

Think so. My wrist still isn’t 100% but I am back up to 315. Restarting a program I was running last year and like all programs it starts light

And... I'm out.  Getting the ol' hip replaced boys.  I'll start back up after it heals.  Good luck to y'all.  Let me know who to send the cash to.

Get better soon! Now you're gonna get hassled by TSA when you're at the airport ha

If I can grab the one rack at the gym (ya, my gym only has one) I’m switching to Barbell overhead press for shoulders today. If not back to the Dumbbells

Someone will be doing curls in it. And another guy will be waiting to do dumbbell tricep kickbacks.  You're third in line lol

Maxed out Aug. 25 and the results were abysmal. Hit 320lb bench press but failed on 343.  Probably because ten days prior I got a stomach flu which caused me to drop pounds going from 230lb to 218. Later that week I found out my Rottweiler had bone cancer and had to put her down.  Stress killed my gains. Anyway, back at it strong now.  Still hit 315lb for a double the day I missed 343.  I guess it could be worse; could have torn a pec or rotator cuff.

Where you at Tommy?

Turns out they can't do my surgery until November 3rd.  So I'll stay on my maintenance program until then.  Cutting weight as fast as I can.  Doc says he'd like me at 220 by then.  246 now.  Down from 272 when I hit 315 a few months ago.  Intermittent fasting is working pretty good.  I don't eat anything til I get home from work, then eat whatever I want until 7 pm.  Some days that's 1pm - 7pm.  Other days, when I have a lot of OT, it's just one gargantuan meal for dinner.

Yesterday, 1 meal: big mac, 2 filet o fish sammiches, 4 poptarts, and a glass of milk.

Once I get past 8:00 am, it gets easier throughout the day.  But as soon as I eat, it's game on.

I think I’m back in. Training is not optimal but now I have two dumbbells at home, one 40kg and one 45kg. I’ve been doing dumbbell presses with them for sets of 8’s and 10’s once a week for the past couple of weeks. Yester day I started taping extra weight on to them. Like I said, not optimal but it should give me a base for the next time I have time to actually hit the gym for real later this year.

In a good groove right now. Ramping up nicely. Here’s tonight’s work

Barbell Bench Press

4 warm ups

250 lbs - 6x, 7x, 7x, 6x

310 lbs - single. I wasn’t set up right so I started leaning to my right and It threw me off but I was able to pull it in and finish it. Obviously fatigued from previous sets as reps are increasing every week.

225 lbs - 13x and spot to finish the 14th. Happy with that since the triceps are very fatigued at this point

Incline Barbell Bench Press

215 lbs - 3x

235 lbs - 3x

255 lbs - 3x. Last rep wasn’t easy

Smith Machine Floor Press - every rep paused

260 lbs - 3x

280 lbs - 3x

300 lbs - 2x

Standing Alternating Dumbbell Hammer Curls

1 warm up

45 lb DBs - 8x each arm

50 lb DBs - 8x each arm

55 lb DBs - 8x each arm

60 lb DBs - 8x each arm

Machine Pec Deck Flys - Palm down

250 lbs (whole stack) - 4 sets of 8x
