Donc101
Great contest. Event is bending a 6” piece of steel braced or unbraced to within 2”. Rated steel. Still time to join, but need to do so quickly. With all the new bending talk here and people being motivated to bend, more people should jump in on the contest. These contests have brought a lot of people to bending and all been very competitive. Squeezus
So braced and unbraced goes into the same category?

Some bend DO, some all braced and some kink DO and finish braced.
Horrido
Yep, nice Contest! The mixing of unbraced and braced was not the best idea in my opinion, BUT it gets more people involved in bending so it's fine for me personally. I am looking forward what we all could do with the 260kg Bar!

I wish I was stronger, time is too short for me to get anywhere

You're on the list at least, Tom I have a 204k rated G8 bolt, that's the only rated piece of steel I have now, doubt I could bend it, maybe in a one month, I have no idea, I will try

Some can DO more than they can brace that size and vice versa. A complete freestyle bend, just who can bend the hardest bar.

Also, if you don't like a Steel Shredder contest, wait a few months and there'll be another one under different rules - SS3 was spike-length bending, SS4 was mid-bar, SS5 was short braced snapping. I've really enjoyed using the contests as a way to motivate me to (try to) get strong in different ways.
Horrido
To be honest, it's not with the hardest bar. It's who is the fastest with the 260kg bar, because it's the highest one in the contest and everybody in the top five has one try. Everyone is easily able to do it, so it's a matter of seconds. Anyway, I am looking forward to the endresult and it will be lots of fun. I will soon try it on a good day.
