liftyzig
For example, a 45lb vertical hex dumbbell lift vs a half 90 hex blob, which is more difficult, all other factors being the same?

temmmeeee
Hand size is always a factor but imo they're totally different lifts that can't be compared. They feel totally different, and sometimes I'm better at one over the other depending on how sore or out of commission certain muscles in my hands are (not meaning with a same weight object but just what I consider a good or bad lift compared to what I can usually do). vertical hex lifts are more fingertips and more comparable to blob lifts by the face than lifting a hex blob. For me, the vertical hex has always been easier. But my fingertips are one of my stronger areas. But to answer your question, I think someone will more likely be able lift a 45lb vertical hex over a half 90 hex blob

I have a 37 lb hex block lift vs a 45-50 lb inverted dumbbell lift. Something to remember is hex blocks/blobs gain size twice as quick as an inverted dumbbell. This is only my humble opinion. I haven't tried this VS that. But from what I can imagine you can add good wrist strength in a blob lift while I bet it will be much less in a dumbbell hex lift.
