Here are annual grip sport rankings (overall in North America) I put together going back to 2003. Before 2003, there just weren't enough contests being organized to put together rankings.

These rankings probably aren't perfect, but they should be fairly representative of the top active competitors from these years.

Thanks again Eric - I never knew Phil Pfister actually competed in a grip contest - got a link?  I have no doubt the guy is a beast but .......

He competed in a few Rolling Thunder contests and did very well. But that's the extent of it.
