Aaron Jacobs Posted September 4, 2019 Share Posted September 4, 2019 So this powerlifter Jamal Browner just hit a 1015lb. sumo deadlift with straps but couldn't crack more than 821lb. in the recent Boss of Bosses meet last weekend. I think he was pulling with a hook grip a la Woolam and Belkin. Almost 200 pounds??? How is that possible to have that big of a grip discrepancy without straps as compared to straps!? I am dumbfounded right now.
