New topic for ya’ll ;)

Sup fam, I got a new topic for ya’ll about the ”levering bar” (adding a pic).

It’s not really from Iron Mind but pretty much the same.

Anyhow, the question for this topic is:

What training parameters should be used on this one?

I tried going heavy like 10 - 11lbs (4-5kg) which for me is heavy.

But also 2-3lbs (1kg) of which I do higher reps of 15.

Heavy weight personally gave me aches and pains and very little to show for.

Higher reps gives me good finger endurance but also benefits elbow health..

Any thoughts or ideas?

Do both. High reps will give you the same aches if you push it to the limit and it's just soreness, it will go away if you train it more often. The way I'm using this one is for prehab, I'm not trying to set any 1RM PR with it. I test it sometimes to see how much I can do but that's it.

I usually do it last in my workouts. Keeps elbow and wrist problems at bay.

Indeed, I guess Imma go both ways then.

I wanted to get some insight from people more advanced😌

I wouldn't say I'm advanced but I have done wrist levering for years. I don't do them for 1RM strength though. Only for prehab and so far I have never had any major problems with my wrists or elbows. I think wrist levering is a huge reason for that. I've always done it, ever since I first started with grippers years ago. I highly recommend it.

Of course, I totally get you.

Same story for me, I started with it after gripper training began😅

Anyways, I appreciate your time.

No problem, good luck with your training. Wrist levering is really difficult but it's a lot of fun.
