I Love it! 299 x 2 Well I pinched my thumb between 2-45's, sucker is nice an bruised. Dead lift 351 x 1, 1/2, 1 DO, very hard, not sure if thumb was the problem? I can't worry about that because I needed to do hookgrip deads today. Hookgrip - 380 x 1 (harder than I excepted), 405 x 1 that was better. curls/c&p 105 x 8 strict curls 120 x 1 strict curl, x1 cheat curl c&p, 135 x 4, 145 x1, 165 x1 push press, 165 x 1 strict, flew up. Feeling dang good, these higher rep squats below parallel are doing good things, I'm just hungry all the time. I'm getting very sick and tired of turning on the "idiot box" and hearing this anti-meat, vegan stuff from normal everyday folk. I'm not a normal everyday folk, very, very far from that (high rep squats and vegan, not a good match). If not eating meat and eggs is trendy, then they've won already, STFU about it....... Someone had 195 loaded x 2 155 x 6 205 x 4 225 x 21 Oh Yeah! legs nice and pumped-up and breathing real heavy. This was just a warm-up! 255 x 1 275 x 11 306 x 1 3-weeks in a row and my back has never felt better, it only took me over 20 years to get this right. Dead lift: 356 x 4- singles DO, chalked up on every rep. Hookgrip - 375 x 1, 410 x 1 (not too hard). Curls/c&p: 115 x 1-strict curl / 135 x 3-presses 145 x 1-c&p 165 x 1-c&p 115 x 6-strict curls, 125 x 1-strict curl 170 x 1 c&p (powerclean was crappy). Hookgrip Dead lift - 385 x 1, 415 x 1 (felt as easy as 405 weeks ago). C&P 135 x 2 singles, 145 x 1, 159 x 1, 169 x 1, maybe slight push, but the press was tough, very tired. Hookgrip- 395 x 1, 420 x 1 C&P 135 x 2-presses, 145 x 2-presses, 165 x 1, 170 x 1, 170 x 1 -push. The cleans felt strong. Curls 120 x 8 cheat, x 1-strict Great workout today, feel like a million! This is one of the best versions of "Chunga's Revenge" I've heard, don't know the year, sounds like 69........ Deads 336 x 2 DOH, 361 x 1 DOH (PR territory) Hookgrip - 395 x 1, 425 x 1 (getting a little harder now). C&P, 135, 145, 165, 175 x 1 slight push. Curls, 115 x 10 cheating around rep 7. Oh, BUT I had a LATE night on Friday, went to a Christmas party and it was an important person's birthday. When I went for what I thought was my last beer, the dude gave me a full pitcher of beer, and no I didn't drink it all myself. Squat- Warmups, same as last week. Everything below parallel, no more parallel crap, that's OVER! 240 x 23 PR for reps. 265 x 1 290 x 10 315 x 2 Dead lifts, not worth posting the DOH, I blame the slight hangover. Hookgrip - 375 x 1, 405 x 1, 430 x 1 (If 425 was starting to feel hard, this was, BUT once I got past mid-shins, it was a BREEZE). C&P, 135, 145, 159, 169, running out of time, this workout was dragging. Curls, 120 x 7 Went home, eat some eggs and CRASHED! Squat - NOT FEELING IT. 245 x 11 called it quits, No point in squatting myself to nothing, I barely got winded or broke a sweat, so my CV is GOOD. 270 x 1, 275 x 1, 275 x 1 STILL NOT FEELING IT. Dead lift- 315 DOH - 13 reps (chalked at rep 5 and 8 ) Last 5 felt STRONG, I STARTED FEELING IT! Unfortunately I ran out of time. C&P up to 175 Several hours later I had a chance to do curls- 100 x 10, 30 second break, x 5 PR? strictness. I'll have to maybe go back down on squats to 220 or so, for 25+ reps before my heavy sets???? We will see, but I feel like I've lost at least 15#, time to rest and EAT,EAT,EAT. I did go over 300 but not worth recording, nothing of significance. Things get better...... DOH Dead- 325 x 5, 350 x 1, 364 x 1 (very,very close to breaking PR) Hookgrip - 394 x 1, 434 x 1 (425+ is getting easier). Worked on Squat clean (been at least a decade) up to 164 and press, 159 felt near perfect, 164 didn't land on the shoulders very pretty. Cheat curl, 125 x 6, 140 x 3 More cool music, Zappa is saying F-U to the music industry by totally screwing up the miming on purpose, then conducts some bad ass Edgar Varese inspired noodling with a 60's rock twist, very ballzy chit. Worked-up to a single with 310, deep without wrecking my back. DOH Dead 365 x 1 EASY!, if I had more time I'd of added weight, next time!!! PR stuff! Hookgrip, 405 x 1 (felt harder than I thought), 436 x 1 I'll take it! squat clean up to 165, timing is bad, caught that ##cker too low on the shoulders. Friday squat- 275 x 10 295 x 3 315 x 6 (not bad, feeling close to my best) Deads- DOH 320 x 3, 340 x 1, 355 x 1, 369-close- won't count. mixed grip, alternate grip every rep- 389 x 2, load and lift, 399 1.5- x 1. failed rep two, went right back in and smoked it. So I look at that as good thing, wasn't feeling it with heavier weights is better than, wasn't feel'in it with lighter weights than the last time I wasn't feel'in it.......... I'm leaning more towards because I don't drink on Thursdays, I'm a believer in drinking and strength training, now this don't mean "get drunk", judgement......... Squat- 155 x few, 155 x few (2-sets of 155 ain't a good start folks), 185 x few 205 x few 245 x 1 EWWW 255 x 10 (feel a tad better now, just a tad). 280 x 1 285 x 1 295 x 1 (last time on a Friday I couldn't get past 270-275) Deads- Warmed-up with DOH 315 x few, 330 x few, 345 x 1 Mixed grip - 375 x 4 alternated grip each rep, felt ok, better than 370 x 4 Powerclean up to 169 x 1 curls 105 x 10 Going to get a much needed 8 days rest. Squat - 155 x 1 (felt so great) (zero aches) 175 x 1 same 205 x 3 same 225 x 1 same 260 x 5 same 285 x 5 same 310 x 1 same 335 x 4 PR! for reps Deads- DOH up to 369 ALMOST. mixed grip x 1 mixed grip - 389 x 3 load and lift 409 x 1 ran out of time, maybe hot curls over the weekend.
