Thick Dumbells

Hey guys

What are you guys luck on training with thick dumbbells, epically on cleans?  I find TDBs to be a different animal.  Seems to me that I cut back on frequency I loose strength on them. If I take a break, say 1-2 weeks off from thick training, I loose strength epically on cleans.  I can do other grip stuff but it does not seem to help with thick dumbbells.  Seems I have to specialize on the lift, say cleans, thick db to get results I want.

What are your experiences?

I think thickbar is best trained frequently. It also seems to have the most carryover to other lifts.
