Hello I use that as a blanket term for handstands, Hollow backs, crow & crane, planche, HS push ups and whatever dumb pose I can hold on a given day. Calisthenics done correctly will mend the shoulders and increase pain free motion. It’s incredibly useful to me. 1

It’s just a tool - owning a hammer doesn’t make me a carpenter, right? IF you have a long history of shoulder problems it means given a new tool you will continue to not fix it. You need to learn the fix not get more tools. Most adults I have met have shoulder and spine issues because they are too lazy to read and too stupid to learn. Bone #1 I’ll throw you is the shoulder has 15 ranges of motion bone #2 i toss out- it’s typically not the shoulder that’s the issue when someone has a shoulder problem. Look above and below.
