AdamTGlass
20.2.20 didn't plan on training but did. Was correct decision body weight 223 lb blue fatgripz doh deadlift 225-1, 275-1, 315-1, 335-1, 355-1, 375-1, 405-1-3 fail at the knee. Thought I had it today because 375 so easy. Probably a good day to have tried 395-400 2.5” x 5” fbbc Saxon pinch 193-1, 233-1, 243-1, 253-1, 263-1, 273-1, 283-1-7 6 partials and one to a near contest lock out. 288-1 lift to the knee. 20 minutes mobility then 5 hspu practice only had a few singles floor was packed at the gym. It’s not safe for these zombies to be so close when I kick up because I’m not skilled enough to ensure I wouldn’t plow right through them. In 5 years of hand balancing at commercial gyms I’ve kicked 3 people in the face and it’s never cool. Training is on point. Weight gain was Eric & Tommy’s encouragement and it’s been very productive. I’m pretty sure I’ll lift this season in 110 kg. Edited February 21, 2020 by AdamTGlass

I'm working on my wrist flexibility before I start to try the free standing stuff. I just don't think my wrists would support my bad form just yet if I had to bail on one. I don't know if its just me getting used to it or not, but man, after I do HSPU's my fat-grip and saxon bar work suffer pretty bad. Its like my hands and wrists are smoked. I know I will get stronger in due time but it was a real surprise to me how much they fatigued my hands and wrists.

Take your time. I began training this in 2014 and it didn’t get comfortable for the first year abouts. Even now it takes me 15 minutes to get properly warmed up to hit push ups. Of all my fitness pursuits hand balancing is the most stimulating. I realize everyone says start on the wall but I disagree. The wall work will not help as much as learning to free balance from the start. The pike push up with elbows tracking to the rear is probably the best assistance exercise for free hspu. The benefits & pay off is tremendous. For the last 6 months I have used this as primary upper body exercise (on top of many deadlift variations) and my shoulders & arms grown much

I think I'm starting to get the hang of them. You have to create a triangle between your hands and where your head makes contact and then drive back toward the shoulders.
