Hey everyone
 
We have been rocking and rolling here in Denver trying to get grip contests going.  Information and sign up for our next contest is below.  We would love to see some new faces. 
 
Introduction to Grip Sport & Grip Sport Competition.
Whether you're a seasoned Grip Sport competitor or completely new and just want to try it out, mark your calendars for Sunday, July 7th in Lakewood, CO.

     Sunday, July 7, 2019
      Strong Bodies Performance Center, 10230 W. 26th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80215


Events

Athletes will have 4 attempts to lift the most weight possible with each of the following implements:

1) Napalm's Nightmare (2-Hand Fat Grip Deadlift)

2) Little Big Horn (1-Hand Cone)

3) Dub Hub (1-Hand Round Pinch)

4) David Horne's Gold Bar (1-Hand Angled Flat Pinch)


Divisions

Competitors will be divided by Experience Level, Age, and Bodyweight.

Experience Level: Newbie (1st competition ever), Novice (Have participated in 1, 2, or 3 competitions), Open (Have participated in 4 or more competitions)

Age: Youth (U14), Junior (14-18), Open (19-49), Master (50+)

Bodyweight:

Men - 59, 66, 74, 83, 93, 105, 120, 120+kg

Women - 47, 52, 57, 63, 72, 84, 84+

 

Schedule

Weigh-ins: 10:00-11:00am (You may arrive as early as 10:00am to weigh in. Please arrive no later than 10:45am.)

Rules Briefing and Practice: 11:15-11:45am

Lifting Begins: 12:00pm

Awards to follow lifting (Timing dependent upon number of participants. Currently estimated to be around 3pm.)

Also, which lifts are to lockout and which to crossbar, and if crossbar, how high and can you stand on plates or a box if you are short?
