Which direction should I fold cordura pads?

I use 1000d cordura fabric and cut it into 12 inch squares, like IM pads.
I fold pads in the direction of the weft, because I think the direction of the warp is stronger in tearing.

The above is just my thought, I want to know which direction the pads should be folded.

I fold my pads to the left which in my opinion helps get some of the air out of the wrap. 

However, other people are more experienced than me and may give a more detailed explanation.

Try chalking your pads that will create some friction.
