He was a beast. What were his lifts back then?

Overhead presses with 315, bench presses with 405 for 6-8 reps, squats for sets with 650, never did deadlifts as far as I know. He used to train with Lou Ferrigno. They grew up around the corner from each other. Louie was a few years older than my dad. Dad was good friends with Louie’s brother, who was my dads age. I used to see Louie when I was a kid at the gym. He was kind of standoffish as a result of his hearing issues. Very introverted.

the same eyes! Yeah, genetics are everything. But people don't want to hear that ;) I was able to lift 80kg on the RT for the first time and could close No.3 for the first time. PURE GENETICS.

haha but in 1986 there are not only genetics.. xD (no hate, brother)

Very very true. He makes no hiding of it. I think he is kind of jealous of me because I never took that route. It’s something I can bust his balls about when he says ... “back when I was lifting”.... and I say yeaaaaaa ooookaaaayyy.... 😛🤡

And he doesn’t even lift anymore. Not for nearly 20 years and the pipes remain!

Many people do that, but aren't that big or that strong. It's great to know he's still going strong and looking good :)

Thanks Buddy! No he did not directly train forearms outside of the usual bodybuilding exercises. It’s definitely a  genetic trait.
