Guest
Just got the arm assassin strength shop arm wrestling table and preacher attachment. I am thoroughly enjoying the variety of drills I can perform on the table. Can only be a benefit for grip, regardless if I actually arm wrestle. Nice way to spice up the variety of my training. Highly recommend it.

JamesG
Joseph are you going to try armwrestling? I'm guessing you would be a monster out of the gate. Huge head start with pronation strength , grip/wrist work as well.

Huge head start with pronation strength , grip/wrist work as well. That’s the hope. I got the table for more spice to my grip and wrist training. As long as my body doesn’t dislike the feeling of it, I will try it. At this point in my life, I have to listen to my body at 40. Want to last at grip and strength as long as I can. Arm wrestling has always been intriguing to me, but not at the expense of misery to my body wellness in the long term. It’s just going to be another tool in my toolbox that can only benefit grip and arm strength. Thanks for the interest. Also, grip and arm wrestling seem to compliment one another, and quite a few gripsters are successful at it, but it doesn’t guarentee one is going to dominate or even be good. A lot of arm wrestling is like combat, aggression being harnessed. If someone is calm by nature, they may have difficulty being aggressive in that fashion. A lot of my strength I have is very controlled. I approach it all with control. I don’t know how I would be pulling against friends, because I have no aggression towards them. My aggression comes out when I am angry, not so much in an athletic endeavor though. At least that’s what I think. JamesG
That’s awesome just take the table time real slow and I’m my opinion outside pulling is a little easier on the body and elbows but that’s just make. Good luck!

JamesG
outside pulling is the top roll, posting type moves etc. Im an older guy too in my 40's and a lot of deep hook pulling or sidepressure hits the inner elbows pretty hard. Golfers elbow is the norm for a lot of hook pullers. Also I think for older guys table time should be much less frequent and probably more leaning towards gym training but that's just my opinion. I got in trouble when I tried to pull every week.
JamesG
Outside pulling relies on riser strength, hand strength, hammer curl and pronation strength which fits into grip/wrist stuff pretty well anyway.

Guest
Some thumbless 2.5 inch dumbbell curls with approximately 70 and 80 pound dumbbells. Concentration style, full range with wrist cupped. This was done after 130 pound rows with the 2.5 inch dumbbell for 3x5 reps
