I do believe we yanks allowed the northern folk at OUR comp, just sayin' also ... (but I'm not sure I would be able to make it that weekend anyway, given school vacation for my son).

It does look like a great lineup of events that I'd love to try, if I were eligible and available.

The NAGS Championship is the North American Grip Sport Championships. My opinion: the US should have a separate Nationals at around the same time as the Canadian Nationals, and then we should all get together for the North American Championships in June.

Yeah how come you guys have a separate one from us and we don’t do that? We should have a just American one if you guys have a Canadian one. And then one like we did in June  We should make that happen!

Absolutely!

If enough people agree it's a good idea, then it's just a matter of finding someone who will step up to the task of organizing it.

  • 3 weeks later...

Additional details:

For the Flask Two-Hand Pinch event, weight will be increased in 5 kg increments.

For the 2 3/8” Napalm’s Nightmare event, weight will be increased in 10 kg increments.

For the Silver Bullet event, all IronMind grippers will be available (from Guide through #4). Any hold of 2 seconds or more on a given gripper trumps all holds done on easier grippers.

For the Hub event, weight will be increased in 2 kg increments.

For the Wrist Wrench event, weight will be increased in 2.5 kg increments.

For the Coin event, weight will be increased in 1 kg increments.

The opening weights for all events will be low enough so that everyone will be able to record a successful lift.

You can always immigrate. You can shovel snow and look like a lumberjack, you'll fit right in.

Haha I do all that now at my house. Snows like crazy.... but the border to Canada is only about 2.5 hours away... so I can pull a duel citizenship perhaps?

My mom lived in Montreal for 10 years.  Can I compete as an honorary Hab?

Five and a half weeks out. Back to the first page.

I would not mind just coming to compete as a guest lifter for fun, If is ok with Eric  and not be part of the finishing scores, if my schedule allows. Have a comp the week before.

Sorry, Joe. I'm already worried about capacity limitations for this event. This will likely be the last time I host Nationals in my basement gym.

The custom shield that will be awarded to the overall champion. Made by Stronger Grip. Weighs almost ten pounds!
