Tips tester

Is the tips tester a useful tool for hypertrophy or vanity reasons? Is it a good tool for carry over into other grip feats like thick bar?  I've never had the chance to try one.

I came up with the Tips Tester as a way to more safely test (and therefore develop) fingertip strength than rim lifts (which I think are pretty high risk).  Most grip tests are isometric in nature - not the ideal way to increase size - hypertrophy.  The age old standby of wrist curls - reverse wrist curls - and some levering (including rotational) may be what you are looking for.

Will the strength it develops carry over - yes it will - but not to everything.
