Hey!

So. This will be a journal for my griptraining.
I'm fairly new to gripsport and have mostly been doing work with grippers.
I have most of the equipments needed, and looking to expand my gripstrenght to more then just grippers.

I enjoy making gripstuff, so most of my tools are selfmade.
My training will consist of mainly: Grippers, Revoling handles, Vertical bar, Levering, Pinch.

I would say that my biggest pursuit right now is the CoC#3 gripper close.

Age, 27
somewhat tall and skinny.

PRs:

"Silver bullet" 18.5mm with CoC#3 - 18 seconds
CoC#2.5 20mm block close
CoC#2 30 reps with very deep set.

30 reps with the 2, thats beast for sure

Thanks! I'm doing better at high reps and static work than heavy closes.

Looks like we are fighting towards the same goal. Good luck to you : )

Thickbar is really hard for me.
I do not count the weigth from loading pin or handles.

Okay. My left hand(wrist), my dominate hand has gotten an injury. Dont know how bad it is. But I wont do any grippers or sledge for a while with left atleast.
A bit sad.
Good news is that there is no pain when doing pinch. Crushing action is the worst.

Sorry to hear about the injury. That's one of the reasons I decided to ease into my training program in spite of my enthusiasm.

Someone else asked me to write my joint therapy program in general forum, maybe I will get around to it. Best of luck!

Appreciate the concern. Thanks.

Thats wise of you.

I dont think it's that bad however. I get dramatic when it comes to set backs. Will probably be able to train grippers in a month or less.

Good bloodflow!
I'm feeling that closeing CoC#3 this year might be much to ask for. Its a heavy gripper man.
But If I fail to close it, I still feel like there is alot of other stuff that will compensate for that. Overall gripstrenght is the most important thing in this state.

Feels like I will disappoint. It's nothing more complicated then a gripper with narrow width. In this case 41mm in between the handles.

These are the grippers I have made this far. Are gonna make some with brass and copper handles as well. Looking forward to that! :D

I did my first bends yesterday. I got some advice from David Wigren.
Hardest bend was 5×120mm stainless steel. Wish I bought some 6mm aswell.
Was really fun!

I used 100x300mm jeans sheets as pads.

Felt strong today. But also destroyed. Think I'm getting sick. Exhausted and headache.
Was planning to skip the work-out today.

Not sure who it was that invented the Thumb blaster (Lucas Raymond?), whoever it was did Gods work :D
Made my own this weekend and like it alot.

Hmm.. Not good. Worn since last workout, which was great however.
When I almost only worked with grippers my recovery felt really fast.

If I am rested I should get 10 or more block set reps on GHP5.

Decent attempts on #2.5 CCS.

Fingercurls was nice.

Made this handle today. Might clean up and paint the "hook thingy" When time is given too me I will make bigger rollers for it. Hopefully with and without knurling.

I'm very pleased! Felt really easy today.

Been lazy as fk. Its not normal to have as many rest days as I have had. Guess thats one cause for the good form.

I have been thinkin. I dont want to stare blindly at CoC#3. Right now I wanna get into bending and getting my open hand strength better.
so I will more likely not close it this year.

Two days ago I did a gripper workout.

I dont know the english term for it. But I pulled something in my left forearm on the first workset during RT. It left me powerless.

It nothing serious, but still really annoying. I think it will be gone in a couple of days.
