JasonL
Finding it hard to progress on pinch grip curls from moving from small plates to big. Its the leverage difference that is getting me. When one can pinch grip curl 2, 10pds or 3 10pd plares, etc, then try to curl the 25pd plate, its a different animal, since its much bigger. Even if one pinch grips 4 10pd plates and curls them, overall its still smaller because of the plates are smaller. Thinking about adding in more pinch grip wrist curls with added negative only reps and static holds. Any thoughts/suggestions ? Thanks a million... wobbler
Get some platemates and put them on the far end of the easier plates. Or there is always duct tape, c clamps, a rope tied through the center hole that goes over the far edge (secure with tape) with a small plate tied on the end. You can figure something out. Florian Kellersmann
For my plate (wrist) curls I use a 5kg bumper plate that is as big as a 20kg olympic plate as base and add some smaller plate with a pvc pipe through the middle. The leverage is always the same and I can see the progress easily.
Guest
Take a 10 pound plate or plate of your choice to the larger plate you are curling and clamp it to the edge of the plate so it hangs off. That will increase the leverage
