I am super pumped with how the trophies turned out. My father-in-law made them, using wrenches I bent. 1st, 2nd and 3rd will get one.

The bending comp is 5 days away! All of the steel is cut.

Here is the time frame:

1.       Arrive at comp: 8:30 - 9:30.

2.       Warm-up: 9:30 – 10:00

3.      10:00:  Bending starts

Address: 987 Madison, Birmingham, MI  48009

Bring your bending supplies and warm-up bars, including wraps (see rule section, Iron Mind Pads, DHWOG pads and leather pads), rubber bands, etc.

Bring food, drinks, etc for during the comp.

After the comp, we will have dinner at my house. Smoked pork shoulder, coleslaw and cheesy potatoes.  We can hang out and have fun, bend or do whatever we want until whenever.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am. This is going to be a blast!

Is it going to be possible to adjust attempts, based-upon what other competitors are doing?  I have a pretty good idea of what I will be attempting, but might attempt something more difficult, depending on placing.  Some of the bends we will be doing multiple people at 1 time.  Some we will just be going in a certain order 1 by 1.  The medley, we will probably have 2 heats. The top half of the people in the standings and the bottom half.  You will know what everyone else is doing in your heat, b/c everyone will have the steel ahead of time. We will do our best to alleviate your concern.

I have thought about @Buccos1 question above. I think it is most fair for everyone to know what each other is bending before that round starts, so people can adjust accordingly as they see fit. Before the round of bending starts, everyone will state what they are attempting in front of everyone, so everyone knows what each other is doing that round.

I might have come just for the pork shoulder had I known you were serving it, and I'd have bent a 60d or two and made it look hard just to say I bent something, but oh well, too late now.  Have fun guys!

Probably late spring or early summer. I will pick a date far ahead of time.
