Brian Shaw double Inch incline press

Just saw this on the tube, I think it deserves it's own thread since it's pretty insane! Has it ever been done before?

Pretty beastly. I suspect there are others who can manage the press, but I don't know about getting them into position without the aid of any spotters, that's a tall order.

I started seeing feats of strength and World Records back in the 60s - that's as impressive as anything I have seen in the grip and overall strength world.  Maybe Mark Henry when younger?

The important part was the end of the video. You strong guys have a chance to make a name for yourselves in front of a huge audience. He literally wants people to come see him and "get anywhere close." Looked like even lifting 2 inches would qualify.

Hehe, it would be awesome to see more people try this. Probably not many people, if any at all who is not pro strongmen who even have the potential to do it.

Maybe Kirill Sarychev, he has the world record in raw bench press and also has monster grip strength.

Kirill Sarychev would be the guy. Everyone keeps talking about Larry Wheels, when overall Kirill is stronger. Stronger grip too.

What I really want to see is Kirill, Shaw and Hafþór get together and train. These guys are my heroes.

That was incredibly impressive and fun. I'm on the road to picking up the inch. I'll be happy when I get it to move upwards a little bit.

Brian Shaw was just on Mark Bell's power project podcast ep. 108 and in the beginning he spends time elaborating on the feat and also discussing the dumbbells a bit.

That is simply amazing,  Thanks for posting.

An impromptu challenge thrown down and Brian's curiosity gets the better of him.  The amount of grip strength required to get those dumbbells into position and then maintain control for REPS is nearly unfathomable.

The question of who will now step up and repeat this feat is something that will talked about for quite a awhile I reckon.
