Just got this today (good deal used) and took a grinder to that stop in between the handles. They fully close on the 2nd hardest setting, but the spring coils bind on the max setting about 1/8" shy of closing completely. Just FYI because I think a lot of people have wondeed about this, but never seen anybody try it.
