Is anyone considering  hosting a venue within a days drive from Billings Mt?

Do you consider Portland, OR within a days drive?  Last year Michael Thomas put one on in that area.  If he doesn't maybe Jason Gillen in Walla Walla, WA will do one.  Plenty of time to figure it out.

For World of Grip, correct. But I'm currently in talks with David to see which options might be possible. Stay tuned.

Where are the "new KK rules" posted?

The draft King Kong rules have been shared with the promoters to ensure any potential issues are ironed out before declaring them as final. The MoonTop lift for King Kong is unchanged. The discrepancy right now is only about what counts as an attempt (either multiple attempts within a minute, or just a single attempt within a minute).

Over the whole spread. I’d go bankrupt otherwise.

Figured that (there sometimes aren't even three in a weight class at one event!).

Rules Document. Please let me know if you have any questions.

2018 International King Kong Grip Challenge - Official Rules.docx

Hi Eric,

I couldn't find this information in particular anywhere:

For the Crusher and Jug, what is the height of the loading pin used? In other words, what is the height where the spring clip is loaded? I just wanted to make sure I'm getting practice on the actual height that will be testing in the competition.

Thanks!

Both the Jug and Crusher are six inch lifts.

I’d have to measure the height of the loading pin itself — I’m not home right now, though. Maybe someone who has the contest pin can respond?

Loading pin height is up to you...so figure out which contest location you are going to or if you are hosting then you get to decide. Just make sure there is room to fit the weights on the jug if you have a monster vbar lifter coming. I think most loading pins are 12-15"

^The FBBC Contest or Omni loading pins are the official pins to be used for the Flask, Jug, and Crusher, as per the rules document. So the height of these pins are what you would want to use if you want to simulate the contest setting.

Do you know the height of the FBBC loading pin?

Not off the top of my head -- I can measure it when I'm home tonight if no one provides an answer before then.

Ivan Pupchenko has informed me that the FBBC contest loading measures 30 cm and the FBBC Omni pin measures 36 cm.
