Donc101
Yesterday, I braced bent a DHWOG 260kg bar in 5.88 seconds. It has been certified as the new official world record for the short braced bend. Very pumped about this. Here is the video:

Donc101
I did a tough challenge yesterday. I was challenged by Rob Blair to walk 5k with a 150lb pack. I put my twist on it. I braced bent 5 gold nails, did the walk (which was brutal) and then bent 5 red nails with the 150lb pack on. My hips and back are very sore today from the walk. My hands are tore up from the horseshoe snap on Wednesday and roughed up a bit yesterday too. Video has the bends.
Donc101
I am going to Braced bend as many gold nails as I can back to back on my birthday in two weeks. I did 10 yesterday. Felt good. Here is a pic of the ten golds.
KRC
Cool feat! How long did these 10 take? How do you get them started?

Took my time and rested between them. I do the entire bend with leg crush. Very powerful position for me.

Here are pics of my hands and the bars. Very happy with this. My endurance is definitely going up.
anwnate
My god man...I missed the "braced" part the first time I read that. I almost quit bending forever. That said...it's still ridiculously sick work! Nice!

Donc101
There are a lot of good and thoughtful people in the world. I received an email about a week ago from a person I did not know, Greg Pickett. Turns out he has been in the strength world for a long time, was a power lifter and even wrote for MILO magazine. He loves steel bending, especially double underhand bending. He is moving and did not want to move all of his steel. He wanted to help a serious bender and had seen some of my videos. He sent me a nice package of steel, including some great looking nails. The pic was one of the nails I bent today. This was a tough nail. Looks like an old school nail. Reminds me of the hard ones Pat P has from the 1960s. Very cool of Greg.
Donc101
Two braced bends I am happy with from today. A DHWOG 10mm Gold Nail Replica taped to a 6mm x 8 3/8 steel bar. Also, 5 x 6” nails taped together and bent at one time.

For braced bends, how do the Gold Nails compare to 8” timber spikes?

I have hundreds of nails like that. They look exactly the same, I usually tape them together as well. How would you say all those five nails compared to a single gold nail?

Those timber spikes are all over the place. A Gold is much tougher than most of them. Robert N. had me bend a mutant spike when I was in Texas that was much harder than a Gold. However, the normal ones in Lowe’s or Home Depot are easier.
wobbler
Red nail, cert conditions, 23 seconds (without having to do the gripper crush that I usually need.) New ones bought on memorial day, failed to kink in imps with bands last bending session. Blew through one with rubber bands and thought I might have just got lucky with an easy bar, so tried again without bands. Figured out I do much better on the chest crush if I apply like 90% force with chest, then interlock fingers and apply that pressure, then go all out with chest. Closest analogy I have is that it feels almost like setting a gripper. I can't remember the last time, if ever, that I've finished a red nail without the gripper crush.
Donc101
This was my attempt at a DHWOG 10mm Gold Nail replica cut down to 4”. Tough to get a hold of. I need to move it a bit further and I can crush it. Hopefully, will get this soon.
