The Fat Bastard 8 lb Bomb

I saw this on the Fat Bastard website and wondered if anyone has any experience with one. I feel that I need more thumb pad size / strength, and I wondered how this compares with the TTK, pony clamps, etc. for training the thumb. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I think it's a great implement, but wouldn't get it for thumb training.  Block weights/blobs are gonna hit your thumbs much harder.

I think it depends on how you grab it. It can be thumb or fingers.
As for training the thumb size. Eat more, be stronger, and do reps on the TTK. Dynamic work should be for size not static work. My opinion.

The Bomb is a fairly good "test" but not really much of a tool for development in my mind.  Figure I'm entitled to an opinion here as the WR holder in the event as far as I know.

As to how to develop the thumb - I like Block Weight "tosses" - starting light and gradually building the weight and reps up.  I had better luck with this than one rep max lifts.
