Great arm wrestling training drill! And “only 8 pounds”..... that move is tough with 8 pounds! Most wrists would snap!

That is probably good for pronation strength in hook. But I would do it with my forearm parallel to the floor and the wrist flexed. Otherwise I think it would probably hit the ulnar more and might not translate well over to armwrestling.

I did something similar like that a year ago back when I was competing... not with a sledgehammer
