FBBC 2.5" Crusher or Pro Dumbbell Inch Handle

I'm looking to buy only one of these to work on thick bar strength but can't decide which will be a more useful purchase. I already have a 2.5" axle, plethora of Olympic and standard weight plates and a loading pin. Any thoughts on which would be a better investment?

Chris I can bring both to Gripmas or ship you both and you can decide.

biggest difference is pick height and the crusher is much easier to change the weight on.

Interesting, didn't even think about lift height. Seems like crusher is the way to go unless I work my way up to the possibility if lifting the Inch and need more specific training. I was barely able to lift a 127lb loaded inch so it seems I'm a ways off.

You really need to train specific to be good at either of those implements. The lifts may seem the same but they're not.

I would go with the pro handle. Reason: You can do better workouts with a dumbbell in my opinion. You can do cable work with a rolling handle but that's basically it. With a dumbbell there's so many exercises you can do. It's a more versatile training tool.

I have a pro handle if you’re interested. You can buy or trade something

Posting just to show off this lovely item from FBBC and some nifty plates I nabbed locally. Loaded to 102lbs. Thought this community might appreciate it!

I think the Pro Dumbbell is all you need to train to lift the Inch. I have two of them.

Where do you climb? I have spent a lot of hours in Pawtuckaway.

The local MD boulders, Earth Treks gyms, the Y with my small offspring. Not quite as adventurous as NH granite or Colorado.

It's a great tool thus far. I still have to figure out how to progress on it (and not irritate the elbows?). Hoping to dig into that on this board...But it seems like there's tremendous variances in successful approaches!

I would love to get a pro dumbbell but used weight plates now are $2 a pound.
did you ever get one how do you like it

I managed to get everything pictured there for $1/lb. Things are cooling off a little in this local market. I did also trek to York retail store where $1 is still the price with limits on quantity.
