I may be buying a set of competition bumper plates. I'm on the fence about whether I should go metric or non-metric. What do you think, and why?

All my iron is in pounds but my bumpers (and the iron that goes with them (all Eleiko but mine is training - not comp)).  Once I got used to it I wish everything I owned was in kilos.

I like metric for general purpose as the plate math is easier. I could also see the math being easier for small amount as metric allows for decimals instead of being pounds and ounces.

Although, personally, I can think in pounds much more quickly, kilos would be easier for comps if that is your intent.

Metric is the choice I go to if I had those types of plates for a contest situation; plus the math is simpler to figure out.
