Road to CoC #3

Figured I need a gripper goal, so the CoC #3 it is. 

Starting stats:

Age: 19

Gripper training age: ~6 weeks

Weight: ~103kg

Height: 186cm

Best closes:

  • Right hand: CoC #2.5 MMS
  • Left hand: Not sure, couldn't CCS the CoC #1as of 2 weeks ago

Goals:

  • Right hand: CoC #3 MMS
  • Left hand: CoC #1 CCS filed to 14mm

First recorded workout will be tomorrow.

Gripper workout 9/08/2017

Right hand:

CoC #2 filed to 15mm: 3x2reps - 1.5 inch block

CoC #1 filed to 14mm : 3x5 reps - 1.5 inch block

Left hand:

CoC #1 filed to 14mm: 3x2 reps - 1.5 inch block

CoC #0.5 filed to 15mm: 3x5 reps - 1.5 inch block

Yesterday's gripper session:

Right Hand:

1x1 rep - CoC 2.5 - GHP 1.5 inch block set

1x2 reps - C0C 2.5 - MMS Set

3x2 reps - CoC 2 Filed 15mm - GHP 1.5 inch block set

3x8 reps - CoC 1 Filed 14mm - GHP block set

Left Hand:

1x2, 2x1reps - CoC 1 Filed 14mm - CCS

3x2 reps - CoC #2 Filed 15mm - MMS

3x8 reps - CoC 0.5 filed 15mm - GHP 1.5 set

good to see how young you are starting I'm sure you will be crushing the 2.5  for reps before you're 20. you prob still have a lot of beginner hand strength potential. excited to see what everything looking like in 6 months from now. good luck. btw what is a MMS? I've been doing CCS and TNS since day one but still have no idea about MMS (I'm pretty sure it means millimeter set but  not sure exactly what that means). anyway, good luck it seems like you will go far and certify the 3 with some time (who knows how much time) it could be a year or maybe 5 years.

MMS stands for Mash Monster Set. It just means the handles are parallel or wider when set. Close to a 20mm block set, I would imagine. My current goal is to certify for the MM0 on gripboard, which means closing the CoC #3 or GHP 7 (?) with a MMS. Thanks for the motivation :)

Today's workout (14/08/2017):

Right hand:

4x4 reps - CoC #2 filed to 15mm - MMS

2x6 reps - CoC #1 filed to 14mm - GHP 1.5in block 

8reps - CoC #0.5 filed to 15mm - TNS

Left Hand:

2x5, 1x3 - CoC #1 filed to 14mm - GHP 1.5in block

1x6, 1x5 - CoC #1 filed to 14mm - MMS

2x6 - CoC #0.5 tiled to 15mm - GHP 1.5in block

 

Took the weekend off grippers and hands recovered well. Going to file down my 2.5 soon.
