Congrats on the PR!

Are you viper or push press/jerking the log standing?

Thank you Josh! Standing I push press. In the beginning I tried to jerk a couple different ways but found it very inconsistent. Even with the push press it's hard to get a good transfer from the legs to the log. After watching some of Kalle Beck's videos i decided to give up on the jerk. He talks about variation in logs, conditions and fatigue from previous events. Overhead pressing does not come naturally to me but focusing on building my strength more has been yielding me better results. It's great to see you posting in your log again too!

I saw the video. Disclaimer: I am a horrendous presser. I noticed the log rolls on you on your dip but even out of position you press it out anyway. If you can lock the log in for your dip and drive you have much bigger numbers in you.

After viper pressing from the knees for the last two month, the push press felt unfamiliar yesterday. For sure these are perishable skills and I feel I have more in my press too. Feeling fatigue yesterday too after a long weekend of driving back and forth to Toronto and swinging clubs and mace all weekend. Thanks Josh!

A 2 3/8" axle deadlift (defecit) missed a pathetic 250 DO then did 220×3×3, then worked up to 315 mixed grip.

B1 deadlift with a pause at the bottom (straps) 315×7×7

B2 misc card tearing

C1 alternating lunges 120×20×3

C2 slim lever 11×1/1×5×3

My buddy John had come over today and he is one of the lucky recipients of the "jokabug" blob pendants so we played around key pinching it the pinching it with just the index finger. These pendants are beautiful but it's very easy to cheat a lift by hooking your your fingers underneath.

Training at Robs this morning:

Fat gripz on a T handle I made for Rob (15" height, ~2.25" diameter) worked up to 323 then 278×3×2

2" climber pinch 167×3,3,5

Blob trainer 28×1/1×5×4

A1 squats 310×5×5

A2 grippers (MMS) right filed 137×1×5, left 124×1×5

Not all of these were successful closes. My first time using a filed gripper and the extra range threw me off at first but I figured it out for some solid closes. Left hand was hit and miss. Any missed reps were cheat closed and all reps were held for 5s.

KB long cycle 22kg×4min @ 9rpm

What is this?

I just use 2-3 ten pound plates for this. And I prefer to hang out at the bottom for a couple of contract and relax cycles instead of doing reps. Also I always pair this with some kind of active flexion exercise like toes to bar or press handstand work.
